ABOUT THE MOVIE:

This Christmas, have your family join with Kirk Cameron’s family and dive headfirst into all the joy, dancing, celebration, feasting, imagination, and traditions that glorify the true “reason for the season.” KIRK CAMERON’S SAVING CHRISTMAS is an engaging story that provides a biblical basis for our time-honored traditions and celebrations, and the inspiration to stand strongly against a culture that wants to trivialize and eliminate the faith elements of this holy season. So take in the splendor; take in the majesty; take in the story. Take it all in… and let’s put Christ back in Christmas! KIRK CAMERON’S SAVING CHRISTMAS is in theaters for a limited engagement beginning November 14 for two weeks only!

MY REVIEW:

I was given the chance to watch an advanced movie preview of Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas. This is a funny and an eye-opener movie perfect for the Christmas season.

The movie started with Kirk talking about Christmas. After that is a scene of a scary looking man and later on, I learned who this scary looking man is. The rest of the movie shows Christian's (Darren Doane) problem about Christmas and Kirk counter-explaining what these Christmas traditions are and what they represent and mean. It also shows excerpts of the Christmas party in between for humor.

Kirk did a good job in explaining the true meaning of Christmas and this movie made me look at Christmas in a whole new perspective. I studied in a Catholic school through high school and attended a Catholic University but I can't remember if our teacher taught us the meaning of the different Christmas traditions and decorations like the Christmas tree, the nutcracker, the swaddling blanket, incense, Saint Nicholas and a lot more. This movie shows how the Christmas tradition really centers Jesus and how each tradition and decoration has something to do with why it's all about Jesus.

This movie is a great watch for the family specially this coming Christmas season because it's kid-friendly, easily understood and taught me the true meaning of Christmas. I might've known the overview that it's all about sharing but this movie deepened my understanding of what Christmas really means.
Watch the trailer above to catch a glimpse of what Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas is all about.
