ABOUT THE BOOK:
When two single people meet for the first time, they often arrange a “coffee date.” Coffee Dates From ****
is a humorous fictional account of several very bad coffee dates. Many
of these dates are disasters from the beginning. Others are destined
to be train wrecks if the two people ever see each other again. The
coffee dates include several famous people such as Abraham Lincoln,
Albert Einstein, and J. Edgar Hoover. You’ll also meet a range of
colorful characters including a psychic, a cross dresser, and even a
cannibal. The coffee dates include many funny twists and surprises. The
humor is often silly, irreverent, and politically incorrect. The book
is a very quick read (148 short pages). Many people finish it in just
one evening.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
I have lived a meatless life since 1998 when I was visited by a pig in a
dream asking me to give up bacon, ham and all other meat. Knowing that
pigs are very intelligent I did not question the request. From that day
forward I read many reputable books about vegetarianism. Okay,
truthfully I didn't actually read them, but I did read most of their
book jackets. So I figure that made me sort of an expert. Consequently I
wrote "Revenge of the Vegetarian," a wacky and irreverent look at the
world of vegetarianism. My latest writing effort was inspired by the
countless bad dates I had when I was single. It's a fictional account
of many funny and strange coffee dates. In writing the book, I had an
assist from my 97-year-old Aunt Milly. She advised me that more people
would buy the book if I put a swear word in the title. Hence it became
"Coffee Dates From Hell." Milly also advised me to include lots of
pictures of fat naked people drinking coffee. Not all of her advice was
good.
MY REVIEW:
I'm a fast reader and when I like a book, I can finish reading it fast. When I started reading the Coffee Dates from Hell by Jim Tilberry, I got hooked with the first story. I imagined myself with the irritating magician (Harry Houdini) and I think I 'll be able to laugh at his first few tricks but get annoyed too if he does it the whole entire coffee date. There are a lot of stories and each story is short and funny. I was laughing by myself like a crazy person. LOL.
If you're looking for a nice, funny book, I suggest you get Coffee Dates from Hell because it's a fast read, addicting and very funny.
