Pilates For Dancers And Beginners By SalsaCrazy DVD Review

ABOUT THE DVD:

Pilates for Dancers is designed for BEGINNERS, and anyone and everyone who would like to attain the often celebrated dancer's body, incredibly strong, limber, and articulated muscles and frame. Pilates for dancers was born of the idea that the dancers body and physique is beautiful, graceful, and lithe. At the same time, it is an attainable beauty, given the proper exercise routine and discipline.
Pilates is the perfect exercise routine.

This video has a great, limbering warm up routine, followed by over 20 explicitly broken down, step-by-step, instructions that anyone (yes, even you) can follow. This video progressed in stages so that even absolute beginners will have no problem getting a complete and invigorating workout.

Geared towards beginners and those whom are learning their first pilates movements, all the way to intermediates, a lot of time is spent on explanation and proper repetition, so you get the most out of your workout.

Multiple angles make sure you don t miss any of the important alignment, or subtle movements, Pilates can get us into. A great video, and a chance for you to experience a dancer s workout!

MY REVIEW:

I have several workout videos at home but honestly, I've never tried Pilates before. I've heard so much Pilates but haven't had the chance to try it yet.

SalsaCrazy sent me their Pilates for Dancers which is designed for Beginners. When I tried the DVD, it was a bit new to me because I am used to the fast paced workouts with light to medium weights.

Okay so what did I think about the Pilates for Dancers?

The first few moves were a bit slow for me but I did appreciate it because I got the hang of the basic moves of Pilates like the breathing and the likes. I became familiarized with the basic steps I needed to do which will help on the subsequent routines in the DVD. There are several angles for some harder routines which is nice because I can see how the routine is done properly.

The first half of the routine was easy for me and I didn't have difficulty following them. The last half of the routine was a bit more difficult and the routines were targeted mainly on the abs.

I was glad I tried the Pilates for Dancers because it's something new for me. My other workouts target mostly my arms and thighs so I am glad this targets the abs more than my other body parts. It is a bit long (almost an hour) so I would probably do this once a week since I like workouts which are shorter or I can just do the more advanced moves and cut down on the basics once I get accustomed to the routines.
