Encouraging My Daughters' Creative Side With Liquid Chalkers

My 2 daughters love to draw and color. They got that artistic side of them from hubby because he's good in drawing and sketching. I can draw and color but I think my daughters will grow up to be more artistic than I am.

When I received the Liquid Chalkers by Paper and Twine, I knew my daughters would have fun using them. They would also have a new media to draw on. The Mirror. :) Let me tell you more about the Liquid Chalkers first.

The Liquid Chalkers came about when Louise, a mother of three and from Paper and Twine, wanted to look for a fun and easy way to encourage creativity in her family. She stumbled upon the liquid chalk phenomenon and in no time her family discovered how fun it was to use chalk markers because it's a no-mess way to encourage creativity inside her home.

Now how did the Liquid Chalkers come in the picture? How did she think of this?

She has tried almost every liquid chalk marker she can find and all have different issues - tips drying out or cracking, markers running out of ink after just a short session, the liquid chalk not wiping off surfaces correctly like it should (even on non-porous surfaces like their fridge) and other issues. So, since she loves liquid chalk, she spent months of time and many thousands of dollars to research, everything that would make an amazing marker.

So, the Liquid Chalkers were made.

My daughters couldn't wait to use the Liquid Chalkers. Before they used it, I read the directions on how to use it. I first prepped the Liquid Chalkers before they used it by shaking each Liquid Chalker and then pushing the tip down until the tip filled up with color.

The Liquid Chalkers come in 8 different cute and bright colors. The markers/ink from the marker doesn't emit a foul/alcohol smelling scent. Ink fact, the markers smell nice for a marker.

Before handing them the markers, I tested it out on our mirror first and then tried to wipe it off with a paper towel. I am impressed that it didn't leave a mark and that it can be wiped off easily. I also noticed how smooth and easy it was to draw and color using the Liquid Chalkers.

My daughters fired away in drawing on our mirror. Since the mirror is a new media they can draw on, they were very excited. They both drew some flowers, a sun, a zombie (I know it's funny), a ghost, some clouds. I showed them how to erase the drawings and they both wiped their drawings off easily.

I love these Liquid Chalkers and I love how kid-friendly they are. They are very easy to use and love that they don't leave any markings when erased. The tip of the Liquid Chalkers doesn't chip easily or dry up fast. I also like that the Liquid Chalkers doesn't run or trickle out of the tip of the marker. The ink/liquid chalk dries up quickly in the mirror so it didn't smudge easily. I like how I can use the broad tip to easily color a drawing and use the 6mm chiseled/pointed tip to outline my drawing.

Louise did a great job in making these Liquid Chalkers. As a mom of 2 girls, I love how she made these Liquid Chalkers safe to be used by smaller children. :)
