Click n' Play Pretend Play Cutting Vegetable Toy Set WIth Cutting Board and Knife Review

My 4 year old daughter has a Hello Kitty pretend cooking stand and she already has lots of pretend food and vegetables however, this is the first time she had a set of vegetables which can be sliced into two using a plastic toy knife and chopping board. Of course, when I received this, I was super excited to show it to my daughters. Before I head on over to my review, here is a short product description from the company:

This brightly colored set of plastic vegetables comes apart into segments, so children can pretend-slice vegetables. Our 14 piece set includes a variety of 12 different vegetables and a plastic knife that makes a realistic cutting sound along with a cutting board. We pride ourselves in developing products that encourage creativity and build self-confidence through play. This brightly colored set of plastic vegetables comes apart into segments by slicing them, then fit back again with Velcro
Children can pretend-slice vegetables on the cutting board with the included knife
Set includes a variety of 12 different vegetables with a cutting board and knife
Made using the highest quality materials. Tested to be safe for kids
Helps develop child's mind, creativity and thinking ability and train their hand-eye-coordination and hand flexibility by their own operation. Develops fine motor skills, great for OT (occupational therapist)

As soon as my daughters saw this set, they were super excited to play with the vegetables inside. This is a nice and cute pretend play cutting vegetables set. It consist of 10 pieces of different varieties of vegetables such as eggplant, carrots, green bell pepper, corn, tomato, broccoli, lemon, avocado, cabbage and onion. It also came with a cute little chopping board and a knife. These are made of quality plastic materials that were previously tested and safe for kids.
All the vegetables can be sliced in the middle and put together again by a velcro. The plastic vegetables have nice bright colors that mimics the real colors of real vegetables. It has a nice see-through plastic handbag for carrying and storage.
I love how my daughters were able to slice these plastic toy vegetables in half and then put them back over and over again. These toys promoted motor skills because they would have to practice holding 1 side of the vegetable and using their other hand to slice it in the middle using the knife. After that, they would put them back together again.

Aside from that, I love how light but durable the plastic vegetables are. My daughters were able to hold and grasp the toy vegetables easily. This play pretend toy set also enhanced creativity because my daughters were able to do pretend cooking using the vegetables on this set.

This is a nice set of pretend vegetable toy set and I love that these can be sliced in the middle using the plastic toy knife included. The velcro on the middle of each vegetable hasn't come off even after repeated slicing and putting back.

Pretend Play Shopping Cart From Precious Toys Review

My 4 year old daughter loves to play pretend. She has a mini kitchen with all the grocery items, veggies and fruits. The Precious Toys Kids & Toddler Pretend Play Shopping Cart from Homeco just completed her collection.

Take your shopping list and your teddy bear and get ready to shop. Our durable metal shopping cart looks just like those in real stores. Heavy gauge steel construction includes 360 degree pivoting front wheels, easy-grip handle, and a folding seat so a child and his or her favorite companion can navigate the aisles in style. There are endless play possibilities with this incredibly durable metal shopping cart. Children love playing grocery store; they can collect play food in the shopping cart, roll to the pretend checkout and pay, or stock the shelves with supplies. Encourage sorting, planning, and motor skills by creating a shopping list with pictures or simple words and then asking a child to fill the order, or ask him or her to put all of one kind of play food in the cart (like frozen foods), then roll to the end of the room, unload it, and return for something else (like fruits and veggies). With sturdy metal construction and pivoting front wheels, this kid-size metal shopping cart toy is the perfect addition to your play grocery store. Easy to maneuver, fun to fill, and built to last for years of pretend play.
The shopping cart was easy to assemble. Just took us a couple of minutes. It is so cute and looks like the miniature version of the shopping carts we use in the groceries. There is a small polka dotted pink and black foldable seat perfectly meant for her doll.
It is quite sturdy and works smoothly on wooden floors and even on the carpet. The front wheel even swivels 360 degrees for easy and smooth turning. It even has an easy grip handle just like the real ones. It can easily be folded away when not in used to conserve space. She is happy that she has her very own cart now.

This would be a great Christmas or birthday present to young kids and toddlers.

100 Assorted Pokemon Cards With 1 Ultra Rare Card Review

Pokemon cards have been popular for years now. When I was younger, this was already popular so I am surprised that my 7 year old daughter also knows these cards and likes to collect them. Let's face it, these cards aren't cheap. They are in fact pricey so I was excited when I learned about these Pokemon cards offered on Amazon. These are sold by GoldenGroundHog and although they're not in the original foil packs anymore, the cards arrived in mint condition.
I was given the chance to do a review on the 100 Assorted Pokemon Cards with 1 Ultra Rare set. This came in a plastic packaging and there were 3 bonus groundhog tokens included in the pack.
My daughter was very happy to go through the cards and although there are some duplicates, there were a lot of cards which are new to her. We got full art ultra card which is MewEx and it was really nice.
All the cards are in mint condition and I like that these arrived quickly.

Pokemon cards are a bit expensive but with the assorted Pokemon cards offered by GoldenGroundHog, they are cheaper and love that all the cards look crisp and in mint condition.

If you have a child, grandchild or know anybody who loves Pokemon cards, you can check GoldenGroundHog HERE.

Wedgnetix Magnetic Building Blocks Review

My daughters, who are 4 and 7, love to play with their blocks. They build different types of things from their imagination and I like that it keeps their minds active and their creativity working. When I received the Wedgnetix, I was super excited to show this to them because the concept is similar to blocks, but with a different concept. Here is a short product description from the company:

WEDGNETiX were created to add even more open ended play patterns for children.  With WEDGNETiX, a child, or adult, can explore complex geometry and greater visual appreciation for 2D to 3D relationships. It sounds technical, but it is really just fun and kids don’t realize how educational it is.

The unique part about WEDGNETiX is the amazing building process it provides. With WEDGNETiX, you can create original 2D designs that include a square, a rectangle and a hexagon. This is accomplished through the WEDGNETiX design that has a magnet within each component.  Specifically, each WEDGNETiX bar has an embedded magnet on one end and a metal cap on the opposite end. This allows two WEDGNETiX bars to fully rotate around each other for a 360-degree rotation. With WEDGNETiX, you can rotate one half of a hexagon upward to reveal a 3D representation of a hexagon.

WEDGNETiX do not require instructions like other popular building block products. WEDGNETiX follow the WEDGiTS toy line in that it’s open-ended design allows kids to create freely. ImagAbility does provide design ideas for kids to progress from 2D into 3D constructions, however, there isn’t any “only one way to do things” step-by-step instruction.

I received the 16-pc. Wedgnetix. This came with 4 pcs. of each colored plastic bar: green, yellow, blue and red. Each color has a different length. One end of each bar has a magnet and the other end has a metal cap.
The metal cap is the side which is a bit depressed while the magnet end is the one which has a protruding metal.
Like the property of a magnet, the same end would repel each other while the opposite ends would be attracted to each other and stick together.
I love how my daughters were able to use their imagination to build 2D and 3D shapes while using the Wedgnetix magnetic building blocks. These are easy to use and I love that they're different from building blocks. The pieces can be randomly rotated to make a new design each time.

This is a fun yet simple engaging toy which is perfect to enhance imagination and creativity. It doesn't need any batteries and it provides hours of fun and building.

You can purchase the Wedgnetix Magnetic Building Blocks HERE.

ThinkFun's Maker Studio: Gears Set Review

I love toys which are fun and educational at the same time. I've been lucky to be given the chance to try and review several toys from ThinkFun and this time, they sent me the Maker Studio: Gears Set. Here is a short description of the set I received:

Designed by Engineers for Budding Engineers
Maker Studio™ inspires imagination and a love for engineering. In this set featuring gears, you’ll be able to build a racecar, a cable car, a 3-wheeler and a motorcycle. For each build you’re given Engineering Challenges – experiment with friction, torque and propulsion as you engineer your solutions. Once you’ve mastered all four builds, get creative and design something that’s all your own!
The ThinkFun's Maker Studio: Gears Set is a single player game designed for those who are 7 and up. I have 2 daughters, who are 4 and 7, and they were super excited when I showed this to them.
The ThinkFun's Maker Studio Set: Gears Set includes the following inside the box:
  • 1 Spool
  • 2 Long Connectors, 3 Medium Connectors
  • 1 Large Gear, 1 Medium Gear
  • 2 Large Wheels, 2 Medium Wheels, 2 Small Wheels
  • 3 5.5" Rods, 3 1.5" Rods
  • 13 Hub Caps
  • 1 Hole Punch
  • 3 Rubber Bands
  • 10 Engineering Challenges
Since this was designed for 7 and up, I let my 7 year old daughter try it out first. The instructions, for me, was designed for older children and adults because it was in diagram form. My 7 year old daughter couldn't do this on her own since she didn't understand the instructions. The good thing was, I was able to guide her and explained to her about how the gears work in a simple manner. She was able to see firsthand what I'm telling her which made it easier for her to grasp the concept of friction, torque and propulsion.

The diagram or instructions on how, where and how long to cut were a bit confusing as well so after cutting out the holes, I had to make adjustments by cutting longer so that the bigger gear would smoothly rotate.
After putting the race car together, my daughters were very happy that the race car we built works.
I love how they, specially my 7 year old daughter, grasped the concept of propulsion in a simple way. She was able to see it so she understood it easily. I also love how we were able to recycle a macaroni box for the body of the race car.

Some tips would be to align the wheels properly so that the race car would glide smoother and go farther as well as cut a bit more length on the holes.

Visit ThinkFun's website HERE to learn more about their products or you can purchase the Maker Studio: Gears Set HERE.

Baby Comfy Deluxe Safety Nail Clipper Review

When I was younger, I remember using a nail clipper by myself and cutting my skin. Now that I have daughters, I make sure to cut their nails carefully so that I wouldn't accidentally cut their skin. When I received the Baby Comfy Deluxe Safety Nail Clipper, I looked forward to trying it because it's designed specifically for kids. Here is a quick product description from the company:

NEW PATENTED SINGLE-BLADE TECHNOLOGY won't cut baby's skin. The single-blade design of Baby Comfy Nail is designed to hold the fingertip skin back so that only the nail gets cut. The bottom ledge sticks out slightly so you won't cut too closely to the sensitive nail bed. The durable plastic bottom ledge lasts for thousands of cuts. Baby Comfy Nail is larger than standard clippers by design so it's easier to hold and operate. Attach a lanyard to keep the clipper within reach when you need it. The unique, patented design of Baby Comfy Nail makes it virtually impossible to cut the skin of baby's fingers, making this truly the FIRST BABY SAFETY NAIL CLIPPER. Trim Tearlessly.
The Baby Comfy Deluxe Safety Nail Clipper is different to me because this is the first time I saw a nail clipper with only 1 blade. The top part of the nail clipper is made of a metal blade while the bottom part is made of plastic.
The orange lever on top of the nail clipper is easy to push down and I like that I don't need much effort to push it. The plastic body is durable since I dropped this a few times already.

The design of the bottom plastic is a bit protruding so I also don't have to worry about cutting my daughters' nails too short.

The Baby Comfy Deluxe Safety Nail Clipper is much safer for young kids' nails because of the single blade. The only thing I noticed was that when I use this, the edges of my daughters' newly clipped nails are rougher so I need to use a nail file to smooth them out.

You can purchase the Baby Comfy Deluxe Safety Nail Clipper HERE.

BriaUSA Set of 50 Childrens Heavy Duty Metal Hanger Review

BriaUSA_Childrens_Metal_Hanger.jpg
I hang most of my 2 daughters' clothes because they look much more organized and easier to find compared to folding them. I have plenty of children's plastic hangers for their clothes but this is the first time I've tried a metal hanger for them. Honestly, I am not fond of metal hangers because from experience, they bend easily, specially with heavy clothing. So, when I was given the chance to try the BriaUSA's set of 50 children's heavy duty metal hanger, I grabbed the opportunity to try it.
BriaUSA_Childrens_Metal_Hanger.jpg
The BriaUSA's set of 50 children's heavy duty metal hanger came in a box. The hangers are made of 13 gauge steel and has a gold color. These are 13 inches in length and are thin.
BriaUSA_Childrens_Metal_Hanger.jpg
I tried it on my daughters' dresses, they're 4 and 7 years old, and the hangers held up pretty well. I like these hangers because they save a lot of closet space. They're also sturdy and durable and doesn't bend easily.
BriaUSA_Childrens_Metal_Hanger.jpg
The tips of the hooks are a bit sharp but the rest of the hangers are smooth. Compared to using plastic hangers, these metal hangers from BriaUSA gave me more closet space for my daughters' clothes because they're thin and doesn't take up much space.

I love how these come in a set of 50 metal hangers because I was able to hang most of my daughters' clothes. They're durable and sturdy despite looking thin.

You can purchase the BriaUSA Set of 50 Childrens Heavy Duty Metal Hanger HERE.

12 Color Glitter Tattoo Set From Custom Body Art Review

Cutom_Body_Art_Glitter_Set.jpg
When I received the Custom Body Art Glitter Tattoo Set, I was super excited to show it to my daughters. They love applying temporary tattoos which are cute and girly. Here is a short product description from the company:

- 12-Colors of Glitter Tattoo Shimmer in Large 10ml Glitter Pots: Brilliant Silver, Fire Red, Sapphire Blue, Vegas Gold, Purple, Violet, Mystic Pink, Sky Blue, Fuschia, Lime Green, Orange Sparkle, Black Sparkle

 - 2-each 7ml Bottles of Glitter Tattoo Body Glue with Applicator Brush

 - Our Glitter Tattoo's are Non-Toxic, FDA Compliant and safe for use on skin. The waterproof glitter tattoos will last from 3 to 7 days under normal conditions.

Cutom_Body_Art_Glitter_Set.jpg
This set contains 12 different colored glitters. The glitters have a vibrant color and have a super fine texture.
Cutom_Body_Art_Glitter_Set.jpg
Each glitter is in a hard plastic container. It has a second plastic film inside the container which is nice because it helps keep the glitters inside.

There is a smaller brush used for dusting the glitters and a bigger brush to remove the excess glitters on the skin. There are also 2 tubes of clear glue with an applicator.
Cutom_Body_Art_Glitter_Set.jpg
I love the variety of glitter colors because my daughters were able to choose which color they wanted. I also like that I can personalize the look of the tattoo and mix and match different colored glitters.

There is a short instruction paper included which is very easy to follow. Here are the steps I did:

First, I applied the stencil my daughter chose on her skin. The stencil has an adhesive at the back but doesn't hurt when pulled off from the skin.

Before applying the glue, I like to open the glitters first because the glue dries quickly.

Next, I brushed on a thin film of glue on the stencil (where the pattern is). For me, I removed the stencil first before applying the glitter so that I can reuse the stencil for a few more times. Leaving the stencil on while applying the glitter would get glitters on the adhesive side of the stencil so I prefer removing it first.

Then, I use the small brush to dust glitters on the spot where I applied the glue. Just a note, the glue is clear so it's better to remember the approximate location of the clear glue. :)

Then, I used the big brush to remove the excess glitter around the tattoo. Then, voila! It's done.

I like that these includes 30 different stencils which can be reused. The glitters have a fine texture which makes it flat on the skin. It didn't irritate my daughters' skin which is great. This is a fun activity and perfect for parties or if my daughters wanted to do something fun at home.
