Swim With Style With The Silicone Swimming Cap From Swimtastic

The last time I wore a swimming cap was when I was in high school for our swimming class. My daughters like swimming specially during the summer but I felt like we didn't have the need to wear a swimming cap since we only do it for fun. I swim laps once a week (for exercise) during the warmer months but didn't really wear a swimming cap.

Swimtastic sent me their swimming cap in Pink color. The weather is colder now and I haven't had the chance to use it but I'll be sure to use this this summer.

The Silicone Swimming Cap from Swimtastic is made of hypoallergenic silicone lessening the concern about allergic reactions to neoprene, latex and Lycra caps can cause. It's available in 6 colors and I chose the pink one to review.

The Swimtastic Silicone Swimming Cap has a very vibrant pink color and I love it. It's stretchy and has no rubber smell at all even when I got it out of its packaging. It's also very smooth and has 2 labels on each side of the cap.

My 3 year old daughter saw the cap and said she wanted to try it. Both my daughters are very picky on what I put on their hair. They are very sensitive when I comb their hair and even the slightest tugging would bring out a cry of pain from them. While I was putting on the Swimtastic Swimming cap, I was expecting my 3 year old daughter to say "ouchy" or complain but never heard a complaint from her. She actually wore this cap for a couple of hours and never did say her head was ouch-y. When she removed it, there are no marks on her forehead so I like that it doesn't tug on her hair and fits snuggly yet doesn't compress her head too much.

I tried this on myself because it says one size fits all. I wanted to see if it would fit my head but I found that it's slipping a bit on my head. It is stretchy and fits my head but not enough to cover my ears. It is smooth and doesn't hurt or tug on my hair when I remove it.

Thankfully, we don't have any Lycra, latex or neoprene allergies, so I can't comment on the hypoallergenic properties of the swim cap.

I will try this on when we go swimming again this summer and see if it'll stay on my head or my daughter's head and how well it works.
