Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask Review + Giveaway (3 Winners) 4/21 US

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I love mud masks. If you've been following my blog, you'll see that I've tried and reviewed a couple of mud masks: the Montagne Jeunesse (review here) and the Boots Botanics (review here). I've tried several brands of mud masks but I'm only loyal to 3 at the moment. 2 of them I did a review on and 1 is a personal favorite (because it's super cheap) which I'll write about later. :)

Okay, so let's go back to the reason why I'm writing this blog post. :)

Here is a brief description of the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask from the box they sent me:

ADOVIA's unique Purifying Mud Mask is formulated with Dead Sea Black Mud, Beeswax and a deeply moisturizing combination of Jojoba Oil, Evening Primrose Oil and Olive Oil. This natural mask boosts cell renewal and revitalizes your skin, while tightening your pores. As the mask dries, it gently pulls out toxins and impurities known to clog pores and cause visible signs of aging. The presence of Dead Sea mud infuses your skin with needed minerals while firming it and improving elasticity. Aloe Vera and Chamomile extracts soothe and calm your skin while Vitamins A and C leave it looking fresh and renewed.

Here are some of the benefits of using the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask (Amazon description):
  • Facial Mask Tightens and Purifies Pores leaving Clear, Younger Complexion
  • Dead Sea Mud Quickly Reduces Acne and Pimples
  • Over 21 Minerals Present in Dead Sea Mud Mask help to keep skin healthier and act as acne treatment
  • A Facial Dead Sea Mud Mask Facial Treatmet in Spas cost from $70-120. This Mask contains 30 Sessions!
  • Can be Used as Spot Treatment & Blackhead Remover

I couldn't contain my excitement when Cleopatra's Choice sent me a full sized sample of their Adovia Mineral Skin Care Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask. The design of the box is very classy and the size of the tube is fairly decent for the price. This full-sized tube is meant to last to up to 30 sessions! :)

Of course I had to pose with the Adovia Mud Mask before I try it. :)

The consistency of the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask is thicker than the Boots Botanics Clay Mask. It does look like "green baby poop" :) but believe me, the benefits of using the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask makes up for the somewhat "gross" color. :) And to think about it, all the mud masks I use have the same color. :)

The direction was to apply just a thin layer onto clean skin so I did just that. :) Since I use 2 different brands of mud masks (3rd brand I'm using is a cloth-type mud mask), I am used to putting a thicker layer of mud mask on my face so it felt weird to put on just a thin layer of the Adovia Mud Mask. :)

It dried up in about 15 minutes. It felt weird because in all the mud masks I've tried, I get that "tightening feeling" when the mud mask starts to dry up. I didn't get that "tightening feeling" when the Adovia Mud Mask started drying up or even when it dried up completely. I was a bit skeptical if it really worked or not. So when it dried up, I rinsed my face with warm water and patted it dry. :)

So here is my picture after rinsing off the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask and patting my face dry. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like their complexion seems lighter after using a mud mask? :)

I am definitely in love with the Adovia Mud Mask. This is the first time I didn't get the "tightening feeling" I feel on other mud masks but the result is just as great as the other 3 mud masks I'm using. One thing I noticed was that my face didn't get dry afterwards. I didn't even use a moisturizer after using the Adovia Dead Sea Mud Mask.

It worked very well to soothe and calm my red pimples (although it's not that visible on my "before" picture, I assure you I am acne prone and have small pimples all throughout the year and have 2 to 3 "BIG" pimples on that time of the month every month). I cannot say though if it's effective for Eczema and Psoriasis because thankfully, no one in my family has those skin problems.

You can visit Cleopatra's Choice on their website.
