ABOUT THE MOVIE:
In 2011,
when Glen Campbell was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, he joined
forces with his family to fight the biggest battle of his life. Glen and
his wife, Kim, made history by going public with the diagnosis – the
first time
a major American celebrity would share this experience with the world.
The Campbell family then embarked on a short “Goodbye Tour,” but the
three-week engagement turned into an emotional and triumphant 151-show
nationwide tour de force.
This epic
human drama about the undying bond between Glen and Kim, and their
unwavering caring for each other, chronicles a story of love, resilience
and the power of song.
GLEN

future, all while playing their music to sold out venues on a star
spangled voyage spanning the country from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood
Bowl.
Honestly, I don't know who Glen Campbell is. My late grandfather might've played one of his songs when I was younger, the Rhinestone Cowboy, because it sounds so familiar. I was given the chance to watch the exclusive online screening of his documentary film: Glen Campbell's - I'll Be Me and I have no regrets of watching it.
The first few minutes of the documentary, I was already near tears. I don't know anyone with Alzheimer's disease but I am familiar with the disease and what it does to a person. The documentary is all about Glen Campbell and his family and his fight against Alzheimer's. There is no cure but I am so touched by his family's support as well as his friends and tour crew. They were so brave and open in showing bits and pieces of their lives as Glen's Alzheimer's progressed. I saw how in a short time, his Alzheimer's got worse. I liked his "Goodbye Tour" and how his fans supported him in each of his concerts.
The Glen Campbell's - I'll Be Me is a documentary which brought me to tears and yet gave me a feeling of love and honor.
The Glen Campbell's - I'll Be Me will be released on October 24th (in phases). You can check out the film release HERE.
