Silicone Gloves Set From BakeItFun Review

Protecting my hands from getting accidentally burned from hot pots, pans and trays is now easy for me because of silicone cooking gloves. Ever since I tried one, I never went back to the cloth mitts which are prone to liquid and heat seeping through the mitts. Recently, I was sent the BakeItFun Silicone Gloves Set and I was excited to try it. Aside from the pair of silicone gloves, this came with 2 silicone spatulas and a silicone basting brush.

Before I head on over to my review, here is a short product description from the company:

✔ PREMIUM PROTECTION FOR YOUR HANDS: Be safe and cover your hands to avoid burning accidents. Use for grilling, great for outside pig roast, barbecue meat, ribs, chicken, pork with gas, charcoal, propane, infrared, portable, flat top, hibachi, George foreman, Coleman tabletop grills and smokers at the campground or on your patio or gazebo wood fire pit or ring.
✔ EASY TO CLEAN: As with all BakeitFun Silicone Products, your silicone BBQ, oven, grill and cooking gloves are dishwasher safe and easy to clean. SAFE & NON-TOXIC: Protect your family with this FDA Approved, German Food Grade and BPA Free certified silicone oven mitt set. DURABLE & RESISTANT: BakeitFun silicone gloves set resist temperatures from - 40°F (-40°C) to 425°F (220°C). Far more protection and versatility than other oven mitts.
✔ NOT JUST FOR GRILLING: Also great for use in the kitchen, stove grills and stove fire starters and much more. ULTIMATE GRIP TECHNOLOGY: Sold in pairs in one size that FIT MOST HANDS, the BakeitFun Silicone Gloves set is designed for safe movement of hot items and boiling water with an non-slip grip for five fingers.

The BakeItFun Silicone Gloves Set came in a pair and has a pretty red color. It has small heart details which isn't there to just make the gloves look pretty but these small heart details actually help to maintain a proper grip on the pot/tray/pan. The 5-finger design makes this easier to use because I can freely move my fingers individually.

The gloves has a thick, silicone material which protects my hands from the heat from pans, trays and pots as well as prevent liquid from seeping through the silicone gloves. Since this is waterproof, I don't have to worry about sauces or soups accidentally going through the gloves. The gloves also has a hole on one side so that I can easily hang it up.
What makes this different is that this comes with 2 silicone spatulas and a silicone basting brush. These have the same red color as the gloves which is nice as well.

These spatulas and basting brush is approximately 8 inches in length and although a bit short, I like using them because they're non-stick. They're not that effective for turning fried food because the food just slips from the spatula but this is helpful for turning pancakes and the likes. I also like that this doesn't cause scratches on our non-stick pans.
Similar to the BakeItFun Silicone Gloves, the spatulas and the basting brush also have holes on the bottom part of the handle. For those who hang their kitchen utensils, this is helpful.

The BakeItFun Silicone Gloves is a bit big, because I have small hands, but nonetheless, I can still use it with ease. I don't have any problems holding pots, pans and trays and the bigger size doesn't hinder me from holding them properly. The length of the gloves also covers up to half of my lower arm so it's protected from oil splashes as well.

I love that I can use these gloves on hot pans, trays and pots as well as frozen things like meat and fish. Aside from that, I also use this to open hard-to-open bottles. It's versatile and durable which is really nice.
