Now that school's out, I look for fun activities for my daughters to do at home. One thing my daughters haven't tried is sewing. My 4 year old daughter is too young to learn this but my 6 year old daughter was so excited when she saw the Design and Dress Me Doll Sewing Kit.

The Design and Dress Me Doll 18 Inch Doll Sewing Kit came in a simple packaging. There are 3 available colors for the nightgown pattern and I chose the purple one. The envelope contained the following:

- 1 x pattern on a bond paper
- 2 x fabric
- pins
- sewing needle
- bow
- thread

Since this is the first sewing project of my 6 year old daughter, I helped her place the pattern on the cloth as well as cut the fabric.

I also helped her start the thread and she continued sewing the dress. She got the hang of sewing the dress and learned the basic stitch quickly.

When she finished the dress, I helped her sew the bow on.

The dress fit perfectly on my 4 year old daughter's doll, "dolly". :)

My 6 year old daughter had fun sewing the dress and I like how easy and complete this kit is. The Design and Dress Me Doll Sewing Kit provided a fun activity for my daughter and I like that she learned how to do the basic stitch. Although she needed more practice, I'm glad that she did the dress nicely for her age.

The fabric has a soft, smooth, silky feel and has a dark plum color. She even got a pink ribbon at home (not included in the pack) and asked me to tie it on dolly's waist. I love how she managed to think about customizing the dress by adding a pink ribbon. :)

This is a nice sewing kit which is complete and ready to use. It's simple and young kids would enjoy this.
