Ecaloo Stainless Steel Food Grater Review

When I cook dishes with ginger, I often grate the ginger to bring out its flavor and juice. The ginger gives a nice, a bit spicy flavor to fish and chicken and at the same time, it helps remove some of the fishy taste of fish. When I received the Stainless Steel Grater from Ecaloo, I was super excited to try it. Here is a quick product description from the company:

Made of polished stainless steel, durable and exquisite. It has full steel construction with a smooth nicely curved back and a roughened front which you use to grate garlic and ginger and more. The steel is pretty solid which does not get bent by applying pressure.

Make food for baby who has no teeth. It can also help mashing infant food before the baby is able to chew.

Collecting device design. It has a groove around the working surface for gathering up the gratings and collecting the juice of the spices.

Easy to clean, dishwasher safe. It is very easy to be cleaned. The juice can be washed away in a few seconds by just a flush of water.

The Ecaloo Stainless Steel Food Grater has small blades compared to a regular grater.

This is also different because there are no holes on the other side of this grater. I made a short video review to show you how I used it as well as how the grated food looks like. You can watch the video below.
I love how sharp the blades of the Ecaloo Stainless Steel Food Grater is. I don't need to put in much effort when I grated the ginger. I also like how this grates ginger, as well as other fruits and vegetables, into a finer texture. The blades are in a raised platform so the groove collects the grated fruit/vegetable effectively as well as their juice.

I also noticed how easier this is to clean compared to a regular grater. Since there are no holes, the small pieces of ginger doesn't go through the blades. I can just place this under running water and the remnants of grated fruits and vegetables would easily wash off.

This is a simple and very useful food grater and I like that it produces finer grated fruits and vegetables. It's lightweight and easy to store. I just wish this has a cover so that the blades aren't exposed. The small blades are sharp and a bit raised so this can easily cause skin scrapes compared to a regular grater.
