ABOUT THE BOOK:

In searching for the missing sprinkles, Ellie and Sis uncover a life lesson that is important for every child to learn.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Sandra Hagee Parker lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband, Ryan, and their daughters, Olivia and Elliana — the original pajama girls. A practicing attorney, Sandy is also a part of the music ministry at Cornerstone Church where she and her husband are leaders.

When not working or writing, Sandy enjoys traveling with her family and mastering the art of making Pancakes à la Pajama Girl with her two girls.

MY REVIEW:

My daughters love it every time I read a bedtime book to them. When they saw the Adventures of Pajama Girl and the Coronation of the Cupcake book, they told me that the cover of the book was pretty. I thought the cover of the book is pretty too because of the pink, sparkly title and the pastel colored illustration.

When I opened the book and started to read, both my daughters were so intent on listening to the story. The characters in the book reminded me of my daughters, who are 4 and 6 because the main characters are also sisters. As I was reading the book, they had mixed reactions like "ooohhs" and "awwwww" specially when it came to the part where the sprinkles were gone.

There's also a part where Ellie and her sister were praying before they went to bed. We also pray before we go to sleep so my daughters were quick to compare it with our bedtime routine.

At the end of the story, I explained to them the moral of the story. My 6 year old daughter told me that it wasn't nice and good to steal and it isn't right. I love how The Adventures of Pajama Girl and the Coronation of the Cupcake Queen made it simple for my daughters to understand the commandment "Thou Shalt Not Steal".

This is a very nice book with very nice illustrations. My 2 daughters loved this book and I like how they understood, in a simpler way, how it's not right to steal other people's things.
