IntelliARMOR Hardened Glass Screen Protector Review & Giveaway 4/27 US

I have educational apps on my iPad mini so my daughters always use it. I bought an accidental warranty for my iPad mini but that doesn't mean I wouldn't take care of it. Just the thought of setting it up again or losing my photos and videos on my iPad worries me. Although there are back up cloud drives already, it's definitely a hassle if I have to set up a new iPad mini again.

When intelliGLASS offered me another chance to review their intelliArmor, I was happy to do it. You might've read my previous review for the intelliGLASS for an iPad Air (Read my review here) and recently, they sent me their intelliGLASS for an iPad mini.

Here is a quick description of the intelliGLASS from the company:

intelliGLASS is our leading line of screen protectors here at intelliARMOR that are crafted with a unique layering process that combines the following;

An advanced silicone base layer that adheres to your phone or tablet’s screen easily and without bubbles  - all while leaving no residue.

An ultra-hardened REAL glass layer that has been specially treated to have greater scratch resistance than steel.  (try to scratch it with a set of car keys and you’ll see what we mean).

An oil and smudge resistant outer layer that repels fingerprints and makes cleaning your phone’s surface a snap.

The intelliGLASS packet came with everything I need from pre-cleaning the screen to post-application of the intelliGLASS.

Inside the packet are:
- 1 x intelliGLASS
- 1 x alcohol prep pad
- 1 x microfiber cloth
- 1 x blue sticky film
- 1 x black and white button stickers

The instructions were easy to follow but they also have a video tutorial for those who prefer to watch the tutorial. Since I've used this before, I had no problems using the materials inside again.

First, using the alcohol prep pad, I wiped the screen to remove the fingerprints, smudges and grime. I wiped it really good to ensure that the screen is clean.

Next, using the microfiber cloth, I buffed the newly cleaned screen of our iPad mini.

After the screen is free from the alcohol spots (there are usual spots due to the alcohol drying) and the screen is sparkly clean, I used the blue, sticky film to remove any remaining smudges, fingerprints, dirt on the screen.

After that, I wiped it again with the microfiber cloth just to be sure that the screen is super clean.

Here is the side view of the intelliGLASS. It is a bit thick and but super clear.

I removed the protective adhesive on the intelliGLASS and proceeded to align it with my iPad mini. When it was aligned, I just dropped it carefully. The nice thing about the intelliGLASS is that it doesn't create any bubbles underneath. The flimsier screen protectors I've used before are prone to having bubbles underneath even if I place it carefully while the intelliGLASS smoothly adheres to the screen of my iPad mini without forming any bubbles.

The intelliGLASS is also very crystal clear.  It doesn't interfere with the touchscreen capabilities of the iPad and it looks like there is no layer of screen protector on the screen.
The intelliGLASS is a bit thick but I like how it doesn't compromise the display on my iPad mini. I also like how it looks like a real glass and how it protects my iPad mini's screen from scratches.

I also noticed how my iPad screen isn't easily smudged with fingerprints now that I applied the intelliGLASS. Comparing it to when my iPad screen was bare, my need to clean the screen has lessened ever since I placed the intelliGLASS on the screen.

The intelliGLASS hardened glass screen protector is very easy to apply. Within minutes, I was able to apply it properly. I like how I feel more secured that my iPad mini's screen has an increased protection from scratches and maybe even cracks.

  6. I think I"d get a screen protector for my iPhone 5. I'm klutzy, and I always have a big ugly Otterbox on my phone, but I'm jealous of all the cute phone cases I see. With one of these, I could have a cute case too!
