Safety Smooth Edge Can Opener From Finesseur Review

When I was younger, I helped my mom in the kitchen and opened a can for her. The next thing I knew, my finger was already bleeding because I didn't notice that I scraped my finger on the jagged lid of the opened can. It didn't hurt at first and after a couple of seconds, I felt the throbbing sensation of the cut already. After that, I've been very careful of opened lids of aluminum cans when using a regular can opener.

When I received the Finesseur Smooth Edge Can Opener, I was excited to try it because it claims that it opens the lid of the can without the jagged edge. Cool huh? :) Of course I had to try it before believing it. :)

The Finesseur Safety Smooth Edge Can Opener looks like a regular, manual can opener. It has a black color, a plastic handle and a round, thick metal which helps to anchor the can opener to the lid of the can.

The blade is made of a Japanese high-carbon steel. What's different is that the blades cut the side of the can, instead of the top of the can so that the blades don't touch the liquid contents inside the can.
The Finesseur Safety Smooth Edge Can Opener is very easy to use. I didn't have to use much wrist strength and effort to completely open the can.
What's better is that the lid of the can can be re-capped on the can if there are left over contents inside the can. The edge is smooth that I can just hold the lid of the can without having to worry about easily scraping my fingers.

What I also like about this can opener is that I can easily clean it because the blade doesn't touch the liquid inside the can. I don't have to immerse it in water every time I use it because the blade cuts the side of the can.

The blade is also very sharp that it cuts the can all around in just 1 rotation around the can.

This is a really nice can opener and I love how I don't have to worry about jagged can lids anymore.
