NanoRazor 3" Ceramic Paring Knife With Bonus Peeler Review

SavvyLivingNanoRazor3"ParingKnife.jpg
I'm not used to using a knife to peel the skin off of fruits and vegetables and I honestly prefer to use a peeler. I actually have a slight fear of the knife slipping when I use it to peel vegetables so if I have a peeler, I would go for the peeler.

When I got the chance to review the NanoRazor 3" Ceramic Paring Knife from Savvy Living, I planned to try it to cut apple slices and oranges.

The NanoRazor 3" Ceramic Paring knife came in a very nice box. It also comes with a nice bonus peeler. Upon seeing the box, I felt like this would be a nice gift for those who love to cook because the packaging looks really classy and nice.

Here is a short description of the Savvy Living NanoRazor 3" Ceramic Paring Knife from the company:
  • *  Ultra-sharp, ultra-durable 3-inch ceramic chef's knife with a gorgeous black blade for effortless, high-precision chopping, mincing, slicing, and dicing.
     *  High-tech ceramic blade forged under more than 100 tons of pressure, and over 1500ยบ C to make it stronger and less porous than other ceramic blades, so food particles, bacteria, and viruses don't stick to it.

    * Triple polished with diamond wheels for a smooth finish and razor sharp edge. Matching Sheath that extends blade life time.

    * Rust and corrosion free, and doesn't react chemically with acids, oils, salts, or juices and change the flavor of your food like steel knives do.

    * Peeler can be re-arranged to accomodate both right handed and left handed users.
I first tried to peel an apple using the NanoRazor 3" Ceramic Paring Knife and I was surprised at how sharp it is. I now can say that using a knife to peel fruits and vegetables is easy just as long as the knife is super sharp. I didn't even have to put much effort in peeling the apple because the blade just seem to glide smoothly.
The knife itself is light and the handle of the knife has a design which makes it easier to hold.

I also like using this to slice oranges, apples and other fruits because I can slice them easily.

The blade is super easy to clean as well. I just place a bit of soap and then run it under warm water.

To preserve the life of the knife, I wipe it dry with a dry paper towel and then put it back in the plastic sheath.
The bonus peeler isn't that sharp compared to my current peeler but it's fine because it just came free with the NanoRazor paring knife.
