Instant Read Waterproof IPX7 Thermometer By MeasuPro Review

In the past, the color of the meat I cook is my basis for deciding whether the meat is already cooked or not. To double check, I would slice the meat a bit too see its middle part. Sometimes, the meat comes out dry and sometimes a bit overcooked.

After trying out a food thermometer, I was able to cook juicier slabs of pork and steak because I was able to measure the temperature in the thicker parts of the meats.
I've tried a couple of MeasuPro food thermometers in the past and recently, I received the MeasuPro Instant Read Waterproof IPX7 Thermometer.

Here is a quick description of the MEasuPro Instant Read Waterproof IPX7 Thermometer:

MeasuPro has implemented the latest technologies to create the most precise instruments in the industry. The MeasuPro Digital Thermometer offers unique features to assist you in your cooking. To measure a food's temperature, the extendable handle will give you easy access to stick the probe inside a pot's surface. Its wide measuring range of -58 °F to 572 °F makes it versatile and the accuracy of ±1.8°F (±1°C) makes it 100% reliable. You can easily adjust the readings to Celsius or Fahrenheit according to your preference. For your further convenience the Max/Min Function will allow you to recall the last lowest and highest temperatures measured. This thermometer is waterproof with an IPX 7 rating and can take the high heat of 190°F so you can enjoy the use of your dishwasher. The thermocouple probe tip measures 1.7 mm and will ensure the quickest response time possible.
The MeasuPro came with batteries already so it was ready to use. I just wiped the probe with a clean cloth and tried it on the broiled pork ribs I was cooking.

The buttons are easy to control and the cover for the probe can also be used as an extendable handle. The instructions which came with the thermometer was easy to read and understand.
The metal probe has a pointed tip so it was easy to insert in the slab of pork rib. When I turned it on, it measured the internal temperature of the pork rib in less than 6 seconds. I can also change the temperature reading to Celsius of Farenheit.

I like how light the IPX7 Thermometer is and how easy it is to use. Though it says it's dish washer safe, I haven't tested the "waterproof" feature yet, simply because I can just wipe the metal probe with a clean, damp cloth.

The only thing I noticed was that I have to manually know the suggested internal temperature of the meat in order to cook it properly. Other than that, this is a nice and simple kitchen tool which makes sure I have a juicy, non-overcooked meat every time. :)
