Have you ever tried a dermaroller before? Well, honestly, when I first heard about them, I got a bit scared and nervous to try them. I am not afraid of needles since I am used to drawing blood from patients, and thus I'm not afraid if somebody takes my blood, BUT the thought of a hundred needles in one roller made me quite nervous. Well it's not actually as big as the needles used for drawing blood but smaller, micro needles, but nonetheless, the thought of a hundred needles going through my skin is enough to make me a bit scared.

I got the courage to try one a few months back because I was asked to try it for free and, I was glad I tried it because it didn't hurt. Recently, I was given the chance to try the ElimiScar Facial Care Kit and I looked forward to trying it.

The ElimiScar dermaroller arrived in a box with all the information on how to use it. I received the dermaroller with a 0.5 mm needle size. Yes, it looks scary in the photo BUT, read on to learn what I thought about it. :)

The ElimiScar derma roller has 8 microneedle discs with 24 0.5 mm microneedles per disc. The total number of microneedles in the ElimiScar Dermaroller is 192 which seems a lot but works really well. It has a gold-colored, plastic easy-grip sculptured handle which makes it easy to hold and control. The microneedles are made of 100% surgical stainless steel and is gamma sterilized.

This came in a pre-sterilized packaging and is ready-to-use straight out of the pouch. Every time I use it, that's before and after, I like to sterilize it by dropping it in boiling water for about 5 minutes, just to make sure that it's sterilized and clean.

The ElimiScar Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid came in a dark blue bottle with a built-in pump to dispense the serum. It has a clear, gel-like consistency and is unscented.

I use the ElimiScar Derma Roller once every 4 days. I use it at night after cleansing my skin with my facial wash. To use it, I roll the ElimiScar derma roller in a small spot, in 4 different directions (vertical, horizontal, left diagonal, right diagonal). I only apply a slight pressure, don't press it too hard!, and this shouldn't feel painful at all. The feeling is similar to a slight prickly and a bit itchy feeling but not painful.

I avoid using this over my acne and pimple as well cystic acne because it might aggravate the condition. My skin sometimes turn a bit red due to the derma roller but returns to its normal color after a few minutes. You can watch the video I made below for a video review and how to use this kit.

 

The ElimiScar derma roller makes super tiny, microscopic holes on the surface of my skin to help my skin absorb the serums and beauty products better. I like how easy it is to use and that it's not painful to use. The derma roller is light and easy to control so that I don't over-exert pressure while using this.

The Vitamin C Serum with Hyaluronic Acid is effective in brightening my complexion as well as keeping my skin fresh. I've always loved Vitamin C Serum and the ElimiScar Vitamin C Serum is as effective as the Vitamin C Serum I'm using right now.

These tweezers are nicely aligned so I don't have to worry about re-plucking missed/slipped eyebrow hair. The body of the tweezers have the right length for me to hold these properly and comfortably. The 2 slant tweezers also have holes along the body which also helps form a proper grip on the tweezers.

Unique Stainless Steel Super Grip Fish Tweezer From KlipPro Review

I have my eyebrows shaped professionally but in between, I groom my eyebrows at home, to save money, when all I need to remove are the stray hairs which are starting to grow around my eyebrows. So, I always have a good pair of tweezers at home so that I can groom my eyebrows effectively and with less pain.

I've recently received the Naturalico Rechargeable Electronic Callus Remover and I was super happy to give it a try. Why? Because I'm not fond of having a pedicure so I take care of my feet at home. Recently, my heels are a bit drier than usual and I can already feel some callused spots, specially the one on the edges. The white LED light is nice because I can easily and visibly see my heels. This helps by giving me a clear view of my heels so that I don't over-exfoliate my heels.

The Naturalico Rechargeable Electronic Callus Remover is effective in removing dry and callused skin on my heels. In my experience, I have to roll the callus remover about 8 seconds on a small area to effectively remove the dried and callused skin. This is effective enough to give me smooth and soft heels and yet gentle enough to to irritate and cause any scrapes on my skin.

There is also a safety feature in which the roller head stops when the Naturalico Rechargeable Electronic Callus remover is pushed too hard on the skin. For me, this is also a plus because I wouldn't scrape my heels accidentally.

I like how easy this is to use and I also love that it has a rechargeable battery because I wouldn't have to provide the batteries anymore. The extra roller head can be used as a replacement but on my part, I gave it to hubby because his heels need some TLC as well. :)

I use this twice a week after taking a long bath so that the skin on my heels are soft and easily sloughs off. I apply a lotion to my heels after using this to further moisturize my heels.

I always love a good pair of tweezers. Why? Because plucking alone is painful already so, when I don't pluck the hair the first time and need to repeat it because of a not so good tweezers, then it's an inconvenience and painful. That's why, I always have a good set of tweezers to keep my eyebrows groomed.

The 42 Bees Slant Tip Tweezers is approximately 4 inches long and less than half an inch wide.

The slant tip measures 0.4 mm or 1/2 inch and is made of stainless steel. This makes it more easy to pluck our smaller hair and those in-between harder to get eyebrow hair.

Xtava Allure 2200W Professional Hair Dryer Review

I never dry my hair with my old hair dryer (which I had for almost 4 years) because I noticed that when I use it daily, my hair becomes a bit frizzy and puffy afterwards. I have no problems if I use it every 4 to 5 days but I was kind of puzzled as to why my hair would look puffy and a bit frizzy when I use it more often.

It isn't really lightweight however, it doesn't hurt my wrist or arms when I use it to dry my hair either.

What I love about this is the separate 3 heat and 2 speed setting. My old hair dryer only has a 3 speed setting and the higher the speed, the higher the temperature. With the Xtava Allure 2200W Professional Hair Dryer, I can have a high speed setting with only a medium heat setting. I like to use this setting to ensure my hair dries fast without over-drying or overheating it.

I like using the concentrator nozzle because it condenses the air coming out of the hair dryer and concentrate it to the area I'm targeting.

I noticed that I can dry my hair everyday using the Xtava Allure 2200W Professional Hair Dryer without having that frizzy and puffy outcome. The number one thing I look for in a lash curler is the no-pinch feature. I have small, round eyes and short lashes so an effective lash curler is a must for me. I like curling my eye lashes because they make my eyes pop out.

 The handles are very easy to grip and it's easy to open and close the lash curler.

It doesn't create a groove even after I've used this for a couple of times already. That means, I don't have to replace the silicone pads since it stays the same.

For hygienic purposes, I wash the silicone pad once every 2 weeks or if it has accumulated eye liner already. It's easy to clean and I like how I can just pop it back in the lash curler.

Now, for the pinching part, I love how this lash curler is pinch-free. It's so light that I don't even feel it tugging on my lashes. It curls my lashes effectively and I love how quickly I can curl my lashes.
