Bee Sili SUPER Silicone BBQ/Grill/Oven Gloves & Basting Brush Review

When I first tried out a silicone muffin/cupcake pan, I knew I wouldn't return to the metal and tin ones. I never really thought about it but when I received the Bee Sili Super Silicone BBQ/Grill/Oven gloves, it got me thinking. Why haven't I thought about using silicone oven gloves instead of the cloth ones which almost always burns my finger when I get trays from the oven.

The Bee Sili SUPER Silicone BBQ/Grill/Oven Gloves are very versatile and aside from removing and handling hot trays and dishes from the oven, it can be used for other purposes like:

- using it in the grill when turning grilled food. From my experience, turning food from the grill can be hot specially when we grill a lot of food during parties.
- use it to prepare pulled pork. (Haven't tried this yet)
- handle hot corn on the cob and boiled eggs. I've had a few accidents with boiled egg when I thought it was cool already after running it under cold water but was wrong.
- use it to roast marshmallow and hot dog over the campfire. (Haven't tried this yet)
- use it to tend to the fireplace. (We don't have a fireplace so I couldn't try this one!)
- grab cold drinks & food from the ice chest or freezer. This is effective for getting frozen meat too. :)
- use it to open lids easier. Have you ever had the problem of opening lids? I can open most of our lids but there are some lids which are just too stubborn that I have to wait for hubby to come home for him to open it. The Bee Sili Silicone gloves helped me get a good grip of the lid, and opening them with ease. Never knew this would help with that one! :)

I picked the neon green Bee Sili silicone gloves and I love it. It also has a free basting brush included which is really cute. The silicone gloves have a grooved design, in the form of hearts (really cute!), is thick and has a hole on the side so that I can hang it for storage. It has a cute and quality look to it that I instantly liked.

The moment of truth came when I tried to remove the hot metal tray from our oven.

The Bee Sili Super Silicone Gloves protected my hand and fingers from the hot tray. Even when I held the hot tray for an extended time, the heat from the tray didn't reach my hands. The silicone gloves also didn't have the tiniest mark that it melted when I held the hot tray so I'm relieved with that.

The silicone gloves have a different feel from the cloth mitts I used and is a bit heavier but I am thankful that it's effective to protect my hands from the hot tray. With the cloth mitts, I often have to be quick and fast when handling the hot tray but with the Bee Sili Silicone gloves, I didn't have to worry about holding the tray for a longer time since the heat didn't penetrate the gloves.

I already switched to the Bee Sili Super Silicone Gloves and I love how versatile and effective it is.
