Organic Black Matcha Tea from Matcha DNA Review + Giveaway 7/10 US

I'm familiar with Matcha Green Tea, which I think is the most popular kind of Matcha tea, but this is probably the first time I heard about Black Matcha. I've tried 2 other kinds of Matcha so I couldn't wait to try the Black Matcha from Matcha DNA.

Matcha DNA™ tea is organically grown and hand picked. It can been made as delicious tea, latte, martini or used in food like green tea ice cream and cooking.

What is Black Matcha?

Black Matcha is a rare and ancient blend of premium black and green Matcha with botanical natural flavors. Matcha provides 4 to 6 hours of steady energy and focus. Dr. Oz talked about the fat blocking properties of Matcha tea on his show. Matcha has over 10x the amount of antioxidants compared to brewed tea.

What's nice about the Organic Black Matcha from Matcha DNA is that I only need 1/2 tsp. of the black matcha powder. The instructions at the back of the package of the black matcha powder is a bit complicated so I tried to prepare it my own way. :)

First I heated a little amount of water then put 1/2 tsp. of the black matcha in the hot water (I did this to dissolve the black matcha powder). Next, I added skim milk to make my black matcha tea a bit creamier.

I tasted my simpler creation of the black matcha tea without adding sugar and it actually tasted nice. It has a natural sweetness to it and for me, it tastes better than green matcha. I love how easy it is to prepare and I like that it has no bitter taste. I can't wait to try making smoothies and black matcha milk tea with boba (we can buy the raw black boba and cook it at home) next time. :)
