Sid the Science Kid the Movie Review

Last week, I received a copy of Sid the Science Kid the Movie from NCircle Entertainment. As soon as I opened the package, my 2 year old daughter immediately held the DVD and wanted to watch it. I did play it and watched the movie with my 4 and 2 year old.

This is one of the movies we watched that they stay focused until the end of the movie.

The story is about Sid and Gabriella winning a contest to go to the newly built science museum. They met with 2 other kid scientists from China (Yangyang and Nunu) who also won the contest. They met the professor who built the museum. He showed them the solar system and introduced them to his robots. What sticked to my mind among the robots was the robot who changes dirty diapers of babies. LOL. Imagine if that was real! Then they met Bobby Bot who would tour them around the museum. They first went to the dinosaur world where Bobby Bot showed them the T-Rex and made it roar. They next went to the beehive where they saw super big bees the size of humans. They then went to a room that looks about playground and was taught about pulleys and probability. Then they went to a room that teaches about lightning. That's when the problem arises when Bobby Bot broke down and they tried to reprogram him. Bobby Bot became crazy and made the T-Rex dance, made the bees "moo" instead of buzzing and a lot more. Sid then came to the rescue by telling jokes so that they can reprogram Bobby Bot before the science museum opens to the public.

What I like about it is that it is very entertaining to my 2 and 4 year old. The movie taught about the basic solar system, dinosaurs (the T-REX) bees and the beehive, lightning, robots, pulleys, probability and Sid's jokes. :) What I like about it is that it is intended for children aged 4 and up. My 4 year old daughter understood the movie well. My 2 year old didn't understand it much but still she had fun watching it. It also taught sportsmanship because in every room, Bobby Bot asks a question and most of the time, the 2 older kid scientist (Yangyang and Nunu) answers the question correctly.

This is a great movie and would definitely be educational to children 4 and up. :)

Sweetheart VoxBox from Influenster Review

I am a member of Influenster and I received this Sweetheart VoxBox to review. I was excited to open the box so here is a video of me opening it.

The box contained the Olay cleansing system, Secret clinical strength Serence citrus scent, Not your mother's volumizing hair spray and Skinny girl Greek yogurt blueberry crisp flavor.

I tried the Olay cleansing system and I instantly liked the smell of the facial cleanser. The cleansing brush also feels great on my face. It felt like it was massaging my face. I also felt my face was cleaner after I used the cleansing brush and the cleanser.

This is the first time I've tried the Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response. I like the scent because it is kind of citrus. I also like that it gave me maximum protection when I was excercising.

I also received the Not Your Mother's She's a Teas Volumizing hairspray. I haven't tried it yet and I really don't use hairpsray often. But the smell is nice and I will use it the next time I need to.

The Skinnygirl bar was delicious and my 4 year old liked the taste. The sweetness is just right and I like that it is healthier ifever I want something sweet.

Review on MorningStar Farms Veggie Burgers (BzzAgent)

I was lucky enough to be on a BzzCampaign for Morningstar Farms. I was given a Free product coupon and money-saving coupons to hand out to friends and families. There are a lot of Veggie alternatives to choose from but I chose the MorningStar Grillers Prime Veggie Burgers to try with my family.

I'd like to keep it plain so I fried the veggie patties with a little bit of cooking oil and then served it hot with white rice and mayonnaise for dipping. You can try other Morningstar Farms recipes here http://www.morningstarfarms.com/recipe-search.html

What I like about it is that it is a healthier alternative to meat burgers and the taste is okay. The texture is a bit different from meat burgers because it is too grinded. The taste is different from meat burgers. Personally, I would prefer the taste and texture of meat burgers but we can still get used to the taste of the veggie burgers knowing that it is healthier and a great alternative.

If you would  like to become a BzzAgent like me to get a chance to get free products to review, you can become one here BzzAgent.

Infant's Advil review for Smiley360

Being a mom of 2 girls, a 4 year old and a 23 month old, I have noticed that they have really different reactions when I try to give them medicine. I don't have a problem with my 4 year old when it comes to drinking medicine but it's a different story for my 23 month old. I have to run after her and force her to drink the medicine. She often gags and cries whenever I give her medicine. When she had a fever, I tried giving her the Infants' Advil White Grape Flavor (for 6 - 23 month old). She readily took it without any hesitation. I tried tasting a bit of it and what I noticed is that it's has a nice sweet taste. Even I like the taste. I was glad she liked the taste. The second thing I liked about it is that it is concentrated. It comes with it's own measuring syringe and since it's concentrated, she only needed a small amount. Third thing I like about it is that it is Dye-Free and Alcohol-Free. Fourth thing I like about it is that I only have to give it once every 6 to 8 hours for her fever. It kept her fever down longer. You can check out more information about Advil Infants' Drops here http://smiley360.com/1143955.cfm

If you have tried the Infants' Advil or the Children's Advil, you can answer this survey and get a chance to win a $200 gift card. :)

*I received a full size sample and coupons from Smiley360 for me to review the Infants' Advil Drops. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you haven't given them this medicine before.

TRIED AND TESTED! McDonald's accepts competitor's coupons :)

Today I was surprised to see a red sticker sign outside the McDonald's store near us (Rancho Cucamonga) that says "We Accept Our Competitor's Coupons on any Comparable McDonald's item". I got excited and asked the girl in the cashier if it meant I can use other food store's coupons. She said yes. Luckily, I have a coupon from Wendy's for a $1.99 any kids meal with any purchase and a coupon for a $1 frappe from Carl's Junior. I gave it to her and the manager just adjusted the price of the happy meal and the frappe. I asked if all McDonald's stores have this policy and told me that corporate McDonald's participate in this promo. Has anyone tried this promo as well? :)

UPDATE: I visited another McDonald's near us and didn't see any signs that they accept competitor's coupons. I asked if perhaps they accept competitor's coupons like the other McDonald's near us.They said yes and I was so happy. I tried to use the 2 for $4 Western Bacon coupon from Carl's Junior and they told me for that coupon, I can get the Angus Bacon and Cheese for 2 for $4. I was so happy because the price of the Angus Bacon and Cheese was $3.99 each so it's like getting it for Buy 1 get 1 free. :) Has anyone tried this? Leave your comment and ask your McDonald's if they participate in this promotion specially the corporate ones. :) And it's better if you ask the supervisor/manager because they're the ones who can answer if they particpate or not. :)

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review

I am a BzzAgent and I am in a campaign for the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream. I must say I was excited to try this because as a stay at home mom, I wash the dishes and cups frequently (as in 3 to 4 times a day). I am not fond of using the dishwasher because I believe that washing it by hand is more cleaner than washing it using the dishwasher. My hands have suffered because of this and became drier ad my nails chipped easily. Here is my hand before using the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream:

I applied a very small amount Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream to my hands and this is the after picture:

I have seen and felt a big difference after using the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream. My hands instantly felt smoother and looked more healthier than the previous photo. What I liked about it is that it is really fragrance free. Other lotions I have used claim that it is fragrance free but still, I can smell something odd about it. This one is REALLY fragrance free. I also like that it is non-greasy. I also like that I only used a very very small amount on my hands. And for the last thing, I used it on my elbows and knees because they're very dry too.
Above is a picture of my really dry right elbow.

And this is a picture of my left elbow after putting on the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream. I really noticed the difference specially my relief from dry skin.

I truly recommend the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream because I saw the result fast and it really is effective for me. :)

Got a FREE Starbucks voucher from the barista :)

I love Starbucks and I got my 9th free drink from Starbucks rewards. I decided to claim it awhile ago at a Starbucks store. This is the first time I'm using their load to card free drink so I told the barista that I checked my online starbucks account and it indicated that I have a free drink/food. He told me there would be no problem and that I can use my free drink/food. I chose a Venti Iced Caramel Brulee Coffee with whip cream on top and when he swiped my card, instead of getting my free drink, the amount was deducted from my balance. I asked him why I was charged instead of getting my free drink. He said sorry in a really nice way and handed me a voucher/coupon for a free drink (any size and any drink) the next time I visit Starbucks. I was happy I got a free coupon (this is the first time a barista handed me a coupon) but did email Starbucks awhile ago as to why I didn't get the free drink I earned. Here is a picture of my free coupon from the barista. :)
