When I received the Zenit Audio's Natural Wood Shaker, the first thing I noticed was that this is well made. The Natural Wood Shaker measures approximately 2.75 inches in length and approximately 1.75 inches in width on the thickest part. It has a circumference of approximately 5.5 inches around the thickest part of the wood shaker. This is big enough so that it wouldn't be a choking hazard to younger kids and toddlers.
The rattling sound produced is a soothing, rattle sound similar to an acoustic music rattle. It's not irritating to the ears and is actually calming and nice. I like that my daughters can shake this to the beat or use this together with their toy piano.
It has a smooth, nice wood finish and is bigger than a large chicken egg. It's light as well so my daughters can use this for a long period of time.
