Encourage Active Play With Pancake Pile-Up! Game from Educational Insights

As a mom of 2 girls, ages 3 and 6, I constantly look for ways to get my daughters moving. With the technology and gadgets available today, it's getting harder and harder for me to make my daughters play games which doesn't involve a tablet or a laptop. So what do I do? We go to the playground so that they can run around and play, I put on a DVD with children's songs so they can dance around, or look for toys which will make them move.

When they saw the Pancake Pile-Up box, my daughters couldn't wait to open it. Why? Because both of them LOVE to help me when I'm in the kitchen.

The moment I opened the box, I immediately heard these phrases "Aww! How cuuute!", "They look delicious!" and a lot more from my daughters. They each claimed a spatula and a plate and couldn't wait for the instructions on how to play the game.

The instructions were very easy to understand and I only have to explain them to my daughters once. Both my 3 and 6 year old daughters understood how to play the game the first time I told them the rules.

Above is a video on how to play the Pancake Pile-Up Game. We modified the game a bit and didn't include the running. :)

So what do I think of the Pancake Pile-Up! Game? Here's a brief summary.

I love how cute the pancakes and the spatulas are. Those were the first things I noticed inside the box. The pancakes are soft and squeezable and the mini spatulas are the perfect size for my daughters' hands.

I love how easy the instructions were. The game is recommended for children age 4 to 12 but my 3 year old daughter understood how to play this game easily.

The game can be modified in a lot of ways. I opted out of the relay game when we tried it inside our home and my daughters had a blast as well! I'm saving the relay game outside our home where they can run. :)

The game doesn't need batteries! Most of my daughters' toys need batteries. It's such a relief that this fun and educational game is very simple yet fun!

My daughters used these to play pretend cooking. Since they love "helping" me in the kitchen, they loved playing pretend cooking with these pancakes and butters. :)

This helped with gross motor skills, corrdination and balance. My 6 year old daughter didn't have any problems with scooping the pancakes with the spatula and stacking them up in the right way. My 3 year old daughter on the other hand, still needs some practice to stack the pancakes up the right way. I do love that they can follow the order cards properly.

Easy clean-up because there are only a few pieces included in the game

I can honestly say that the Pancake Pile-Up! game is a simple yet fun game/toy for kids. It's a nice break from all those apps, gadgets and other technology and my daughters definitely loves this.
