TRIED AND TESTED! McDonald's accepts competitor's coupons :)

Today I was surprised to see a red sticker sign outside the McDonald's store near us (Rancho Cucamonga) that says "We Accept Our Competitor's Coupons on any Comparable McDonald's item". I got excited and asked the girl in the cashier if it meant I can use other food store's coupons. She said yes. Luckily, I have a coupon from Wendy's for a $1.99 any kids meal with any purchase and a coupon for a $1 frappe from Carl's Junior. I gave it to her and the manager just adjusted the price of the happy meal and the frappe. I asked if all McDonald's stores have this policy and told me that corporate McDonald's participate in this promo. Has anyone tried this promo as well? :)

UPDATE: I visited another McDonald's near us and didn't see any signs that they accept competitor's coupons. I asked if perhaps they accept competitor's coupons like the other McDonald's near us.They said yes and I was so happy. I tried to use the 2 for $4 Western Bacon coupon from Carl's Junior and they told me for that coupon, I can get the Angus Bacon and Cheese for 2 for $4. I was so happy because the price of the Angus Bacon and Cheese was $3.99 each so it's like getting it for Buy 1 get 1 free. :) Has anyone tried this? Leave your comment and ask your McDonald's if they participate in this promotion specially the corporate ones. :) And it's better if you ask the supervisor/manager because they're the ones who can answer if they particpate or not. :)

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review

I am a BzzAgent and I am in a campaign for the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream. I must say I was excited to try this because as a stay at home mom, I wash the dishes and cups frequently (as in 3 to 4 times a day). I am not fond of using the dishwasher because I believe that washing it by hand is more cleaner than washing it using the dishwasher. My hands have suffered because of this and became drier ad my nails chipped easily. Here is my hand before using the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream:

I applied a very small amount Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream to my hands and this is the after picture:

I have seen and felt a big difference after using the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream. My hands instantly felt smoother and looked more healthier than the previous photo. What I liked about it is that it is really fragrance free. Other lotions I have used claim that it is fragrance free but still, I can smell something odd about it. This one is REALLY fragrance free. I also like that it is non-greasy. I also like that I only used a very very small amount on my hands. And for the last thing, I used it on my elbows and knees because they're very dry too.
Above is a picture of my really dry right elbow.

And this is a picture of my left elbow after putting on the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream. I really noticed the difference specially my relief from dry skin.

I truly recommend the Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream because I saw the result fast and it really is effective for me. :)

*I received samples from BzzAgent for me to try and review. All opinions are my own.

Got a FREE Starbucks voucher from the barista :)

I love Starbucks and I got my 9th free drink from Starbucks rewards. I decided to claim it awhile ago at a Starbucks store. This is the first time I'm using their load to card free drink so I told the barista that I checked my online starbucks account and it indicated that I have a free drink/food. He told me there would be no problem and that I can use my free drink/food. I chose a Venti Iced Caramel Brulee Coffee with whip cream on top and when he swiped my card, instead of getting my free drink, the amount was deducted from my balance. I asked him why I was charged instead of getting my free drink. He said sorry in a really nice way and handed me a voucher/coupon for a free drink (any size and any drink) the next time I visit Starbucks. I was happy I got a free coupon (this is the first time a barista handed me a coupon) but did email Starbucks awhile ago as to why I didn't get the free drink I earned. Here is a picture of my free coupon from the barista. :)

*I was not given compensation for this post. I just posted a recent experience of my own.

Covergirl Blast flipstick Review from BzzAgent

As I have posted in my previous reviews, I am a BzzAgent and this time I've joined the campaign for the Covergirl Blast Flipstick. I am really picky on the color of lipstick I wear and was excited to learn that I was invited for this campaign. I received 3 Covergirl blast flipsticks (vixen, minx and stunner) and some valuable coupons. I insantly liked the Vixen and the Stunner but gave the Minx to my friend. Here are the things I loved about the Covergirl Blast Flipstick:

1. I loved that it is blendable because I can mix and match colors instantly. The 2 colors on each lipstick complement each other and I didn't have to think of what colors to match.

(This is my picture with my younger daughter. Used The Vixen here)

2. Now I used it when I felt adventurous and mixed the Vixen and the Stunner and still, the colors blended and complemented each other. Here is a picture of me with the Vixen (cream) and Stunner (Shimmery) blend.

3. I like the scent of the flipsticks. I can't distinguish what scent it is but I definitely have smelled it when I was younger (maybe one of my toys? :))

4. I like that it is thinner than other lipsticks because I definitely can put it easier than other thicker lipsticks.

5. It lasts for a very long time. I've eaten and drank (from a cup) and still the Covergirl blast flipstick was still there. Not as vibrant as the first application but still there. :)

Now I really like this New Covergirl Blast flipstick and would definitely look for other shades in the market. Imagine there are 13 different shades that complement each other! And the SRP is just $8.49.

*I was given free samples from BzzAgent to facilitate my review. This is my own opinion.

Review: Cosmo Voxbox from Influenster

I recently received my Cosmo Voxbox from Influenster and was happy to see the products inside. There were 2 Pilot Frixion pens, a Forever Red Exclusively at Bath & Body works, Gilette Venus Embrace razor, a Gilette Venus & Olay refill and a Ghirardelli Sea salt escape chocolate bar (not in picture because my daughters ate it).

The Forever Red Exclusively at Bath&Body Works wasn't for me. The scent is kind of floral and I remember the perfumes my grandmother used. It is a bit too strong for me and a bit matured.

The Pilot Frixion Pens writes nicely but not as vibrant as other pens/inks. What I like about it is that it has a fine point and I can erase it ifever I make a mistake.

The Ghirardelli Sea salt escape chocolate bar was heaven. At first, I was hesistant to taste it because of the flavor sea salt. I took the courage to taste it and was surprised of the nice sweet and a little bit of saltiness in it. I absolutely loved it so does my daughters who ate it all in the car.

I am a Gilette user so I was happy to see this. The cartridges are interchangeable and you can use any cartridge refill on any Gilette razor/system. I like that because I usually buy these when they're on sale so I don't have to worry if the other type/refill is on sale and the system I have is different from the refill.

I received the product samples I reviewed here from Influenster for testing purposes only. All opinions are my own.

Review: BIC Mark-It Permanent Markers

http://smiley360.com/1138344.cfm

I was given the opportunity by Smiley360 to review the BIC Mark-IT markers. I was excited to join this mission because I love pens and I love doing art.

BIC Mark-It permanent markers have a rubber grip which helped from the accidental slipping of pens when I'm writing. They are also acid-free so I was relieved I didn't have to endure the acidic/alcoholic scent other markers have. The colors are bold and long lasting and the ink dried up in just a few seconds. It also came in a nice storage case and was neatly packed there. No more pens all over the place while I'm doing something. They also come in 36 colors (YES 36!) so I have a lot of colors to choose from.

Below is the snowman lightbulb I made using the BIC Mark-It Permanent markers to color the snowman.

I used darker colors here because the lighter colors wouldn't show on the light bulb. Even though this is glass, the ink dried up quickly in just a few seconds so I didn't have to worry about smudges.

I received a free sample of the BIC Mark-it Permanent markers and the materials used from Smiley360 and all reviews are my own.

V8 V-Fusion + Energy Peach Mango flavor from Smiley360 review

Have you been looking for a refreshing and delicious drink that would boost up your energy and be healthy for you as well? Then you don't have to look any further.
http://smiley360.com/942996.cfm
I have been given the opportunity by Smiley360 to try out the V8 V-Fusion + Energy drink. I was sent a coupon for a free product and I claimed it at Vons. I picked the Peach Mango flavor because I love the combination of these 2 fruits and I remember having a similar flavored drink back in my country. First of all, I was surprised of the taste because it tasted so good. I love the right amount of sweetness to it. I also like that it didn't give any after-taste. Plus 1 can only contains 50 calories and it gives me 1 serving of vegetables and fruits.  There are no artificial colors or preservatives and gives me healthful antioxidants such as Vitamins A, B and D. Plus it also contains 100% vitamin C. :)
