ABOUT THE BOOK:

Miralee writes an exciting new four-book series especially for girls ages 8 to 12. Filled with adventure and friendship, this series blends the horse stories girls love with powerful truths. Friends accepting differences, kids honoring their parents, and young hearts determined to do right, even when it's hard, make Horses and Friends a series that can transform young lives.
When twelve-year-old Kate Ferris moves with her family to her late grandfather's farm, she leaves behind her friends and the riding lessons she loves. But when she discovers a big barn on the property that's perfect for a horse, Kate's dream of owning her own horse is renewed. To reach this dream she'll have to jump a lot of obstacles-including solving the mystery of Capri, the horse who seems abandoned in a nearby paddock.
With a strong moral foundation, "Secrets for Your Diary" serving as follow-up questions, and a themed cake recipe, A Horse for Kate is a captivating story of adventure perfect for young girls, particularly those passionate about all things equestrian.

MY REVIEW:

I've loved reading books ever since I was in elementary school and I remember I had a collection of Sweet Valley Kids book and moved on as I got older to the Sweet Valley University books. After that, I moved on to reading novels and can finish 2 books in a day. After getting married and having my 2 daughters, my priorities have changed and of course have to be a wife and mom first. So, to cut my story short, I'd love it if my daughters inherit my love for reading because I think this would help them widen their imagination, vocabulary and a lot more.

When I received the book, A Horse for Kate, I was the one who read it to them every night. I would read 1 to 2 chapters to them since they can't read this type of book yet. They're 4 and 6 yet they understood the concept and story of the book.

I like how the book, A Horse for Kate, taught my daughters kindness, friendship, trust and a bit of mystery. There are some words which are new to them so I also like that they learned new words after I finished reading this book to them
