MY REVIEW:

Good Friends (Hugo the Happy Starfish - Island Adventures - Educational Children's Book Collection 10) is a great read for young children because it teaches about friendship and tolerance. My 2 daughters, who are 4 and 6, easily understood the morale of the book. I like that this book taught about not judging anybody by the way they look, and thus, reminded me of the saying, "don't judge a book by its covers". The illustrations are cute and nice and clearly depicted how each one is unique in their own way. I also like how Hugo learned in the end that its the personality and goodness inside that counts and not the outside appearance.

This is a nice, short book for kids which is perfect for bedtime.My 6 year old daughter easily read this on her own while my 4 year old daughter easily understood the story.

Large Delta Kite With Tail By Get Childish Review

Hubby always tells his story about how they would make their own kites when they were younger using 2 thin sticks, plastic (grocery bag plastic), and a spool of yarn. While he knows how to make and fly a kite, I am the complete opposite since I don't even know how to fly a kite even if it's already assembled. When I got the Large Delta Kite by Get Childish, I showed it to him and my daughters and they were excited to try it.

Since hubby knows how to make kites, he easily assembled this without glancing at the instructions included with the kite. While he was doing this, I read the instructions and learned that if I did this on my own, the instructions were a bit confusing and different than what hubby did step by step.

The Large Delta Kite by Get Childish arrived almost completely assembled. Hubby just had to insert the rod in the middle and tie the string included to the kite. I had to fix the tail a bit because even though it's already attached to the kite, it was a bit flattened to one side.

The kite has bright, bold colors which really stood out. My daughters were so excited to try it out as well.

Despite the size and weight of the kite, it flew effortlessly even when the wind wasn't that strong.

MY REVIEW:

MK McClintock once again caught my attention with her book, Clayton's Honor. This is the third part of a series about 3 British Agents set in a historical era with a romantic mystery genre. I've read and written a review on the 1st book of this series, Alaina Claiborne and I loved it.

I've always loved historical romance books and novels and I've read a lot. Clayton's Honor is a quick read for me and I loved the fast, steady pace of this book. The first chapter had me on the edge of my seat already and I immediately saw how strong a woman Anne, the female protagonist, is. Devon, the male protagonist, was a real gentleman and I love how strong his character is as well.

The story also featured glimpses of Tristan and Alaina and Charles and Rhona which were the main characters on the first two books in this series. Together, Devon and Anne learned how to compromise and trust and discover their feelings for each other.

This is a perfect short book for those who love historical romance. It has a nice, clean romance story which made my heart flutter.

Children's Waterproof Mattress Protector Pad By Elf Star Review

My daughters haven't had any bed wetting accidents ever since they were potty trained but they've had toddler cup water accidents. They would bring a covered cup on the bed and forget it was there and then later on, the whole mattress is soaked already. It's fine with the bedding but the mattress takes longer to dry and it can be a hassle. To make it more safe and convenient for me, I use a waterproof pad to keep our mattresses safe.

The Waterproof Mattress Protector Pad by Elf Star came in a simple plastic packaging. This measures 30 inches in length and 20 inches in width. It is a bit thin but it has 3 layers of cloth. The first layer is a pink colored cloth which is soft and made of bamboo fiber. The next layer is in the middle which is a non-vinyl waterproof middle layer. The middle layer doesn't make any crinkly sound as other waterproof pad covers does. The lining is made out a cream-colored bamboo fiber liner.

The Elf Star Waterproof Mattress Protector Pad has a clean and nice seam. This mattress protector pad is thin yet it does its job pretty well. I tried spilling water here and it absorbed it pretty well without the liquid seeping through the other side of the pad. I actually like that this is thin because it doesn't cause any bumps on the bed which can be uncomfortable specially when lying down.

The noise-free or crinkle-free middle layer makes this nice to use specially to babies or toddlers who wake up to the slightest noise. I've washed this over and over again and the quality of the fabric used haven't changed yet.

We go through cable chargers pretty quickly because my daughters, who are 4 and 6, doesn't know how to take care of the cable chargers. They would pull the charger hastily even though I tell them to be careful as not to destroy the cable chargers. The first thing I noticed was that the diameter of the cord of the Zakix 6-Pack Micro-USB cable is almost the diameter of the cable which came with my phone. MY REVIEW:

The Old Fashioned Novel is a great read for all singles as well as married people because it has a nice, clean, romantic story which for me is really nice. This novel was set in modern times but depicts an old fashioned way of dating. The characters are really likeable and I like how innocent this novel is and yet, it teaches lots of things which includes forgiveness both for others and for ones self, redemption and true love.

Clay Walsh has done something in the past that made him change his whole views about dating and relationships. When Amber Hewson arrived in their town and rented the room above his shop, he was attracted to her instantly but Amber's views are a bit different. She also has been hurt in the past but that didn't stop her from expressing her feelings more vocally as compared to Clay. I love how they resolved their differences in such a mature way and even though this is a clean and innocent love story, it still brought butterflies to my stomach.

The Old Fashioned Devotional is a great read and although I'm already married, I had fun reading it with hubby. It is a 40-day reflection/journal which is a nice read specially to people who are single. The journal is a bit old fashioned, and many would not agree with it but I think it's a nice read to widen one's knowledge and views on certain things. At the end of each daily journal, there is a reflection part where I can answer questions about dating and relationships and truly reflect on what I feel inside. I also like the short prayer at the end of each daily journal.

FAVI Mini Keyboard With Laser Pointer Review

I received the Smart Stick Keyboard Controller to try and at first, I wasn't sure where to use it. After trying it out, I was impressed and figured out where I could've used it. When I was in college, we would have presentations and we would bring our own laptop to present our report or presentation. I would have to manually use the keyboard on my laptop to flip through my report but with the FAVI Mini Keyboard, I can walk around and use this like a mouse and a keyboard in one. The FAVI Smart Stick Keyboard Controller came with the following:

The 800 mAh Li-on battery is similar to the battery of my old Nokia phone when I was younger. The USB dongle can be stored at the back so that it wouldn't be misplaced.

The right side of the FAVI mini keyboard has a touchpad which is sensitive and works well. On the upper part of the touchpad are 4 indicator lights which indicates different functions like if the caps lock is activated or if the mini keyboard is getting low on battery already.

On the side of the left part of the keyboard is an on/off switch which is nice because I can easily turn the FAVI mini keyboard on/off.

There is a laser pointer included which can be accessed by pressing the laser button on the bottom of the mini keyboard. The laser pointer only works if the FAVI mini keyboard is switched on as well.

The FAVI mini keyboard measures 6.2 x 2.4 x 0.50 inches and weighs only 100 grams. I like how easy this is to hold even though I have small hands. The QWERTY keyboard makes it easier for me to type as well.

The bottom side of the FAVI mini keyboard has the laser pointer button, button up or down to navigate the pages of a presentation and the micro-USB charging port. Charging time of the FAVI mini keyboard is approximately 4 hours.

I like how easy this is to set-up and in my experience, I just plugged the USB dongle in and it automatically worked as soon as I turned the FAVI mini keyboard on. I didn't need to go through any set-up process which is really nice.

The keyboard is very responsive and I like that it doesn't create any lag time. I also like that there is a backlight which can be turned on to illuminate the keys of the FAVI mini keyboard when it's dim/dark. This helps me see the keys properly.

This works well and I like that I can move around while using the FAVI keyboard. I don't need to stay in one place and is responsive even if I'm about 10 meters away from the USB dongle/receiver.

I like how the Dutch Style Large Danish Dough Whisk made it easier for me to mix different types of batter. I also like how easy this is to clean. Food particles from the dough can easily be removed using a sponge, soap and water. For more stubborn food particles, I only need to soak the metal whisk for about 15 minutes and then wash it using a sponge, soap and water.
