MY REVIEW:

I was supposed to get a product key to unlock the full version but since I haven't received any reply from IObit in Tomoson, I'm going to review the Free Version I downloaded.

I was supposed to get the Advanced SystemCare 7 PRO but when I went to their site, the only available versions were the Advanced SystemCare 8 Free and the PRO. There was no version 7 anywhere and the code they provided me didn't really unlock the version 8. I installed the Advanced SystemCare 8 Free on our laptop since my daughter uses that more.

The Advanced SystemCare 8 Free version is easy to download and easy to install. I like that with a click of the Scan button, it scans the laptop and I have the option to click on a small box if I wanted the errors and other un-needed stuff deleted. The Free version definitely is nice because even if it's free, I've noticed an improvement to our laptop's performance.

The About the Product above is for the Advanced SystemCare Pro Version 7, which I've said is what I'm supposed to be getting but is not available in their site for download anymore. Anyway, I think the Version 8 (Free Version) works well, considering it's free. I just hoped their customer service who set up the promotion on Tomoson answers my questions.

I was also allowed to hold a giveaway for the SystemCare Pro 7 Version but since I have trouble contacting them and using the product key they gave me, I wouldn't run the giveaway.

California native Jeff Gold composes soulful and spiritual instrumentals which have received the attention of wellness centers, spas and music therapists for their tranquil and healing qualities.

Jeff has released three CD's, "Simple Treasures" in 2012, "Escapes" in 2009 and "Soul of a Mountain" in 2006, each one a soothing and relaxing collection of melodies featuring beautifully arranged acoustic guitars, piano, string and flutes.

He composes and arranges his own music, plays the guitar and piano, creating other instrumental sounds with his keyboard and computer. He also does his own mixing, editing and mastering; skills he perfected as a television editor for shows like MTV's "Making The Video", "Baywatch", "MadTV" and "The Office".

Jeff's very special nephew, Russell, became a fan of these soothing instrumentals because they help to calm him and make him "feel better". Russell then passed on his uncle's music on to his other friends on the autistic spectrum who also enjoyed it and found it made them "feel better" too.

MY REVIEW:

When I was in elementary and in high school, I went to a Catholic School and every year, we would have a "retreat" where we spend overnight or 2 nights in a retreat house. We would have different sessions of praying, and reflections on ourselves, family and friends and they would play these types of instrumental music whenever we needed to reflect and think deep within ourselves. The music is similar to the Escapes CD and I love how I can relax as well as reach deep into my heart to see what I truly felt.

When I heard the tracks to the Escapes - Music For Relaxing CD, I remembered my elementary and high school days. I love each track on this CD. Each track plays a very relaxing and calming instrumental music which helps me unwind and be refreshed. I've found so many things I can do while listening to this CD. I like listening to this while I'm driving because it helps me relax and be calm. I also like listening to this when I'm at loss for words when I'm blogging. I also find the music helpful to spark up some ideas on how I can write my blog post.

This is a really nice CD and also perfect for those stressful days where I just can't seem to relax.

Collapsible Diffuser for Hair Dryers From Xtava Review

My hair gets frizzy and puffy when I blow dry it often. When I received Xtava's Silicone Collapsible Diffuser, I was quite excited to try it but had the problem of using it because it doesn't fit my hair dryer! So, in this post, I'll describe the look of the Xtava's Collapsible Diffuser. I am planning to change my hair dryer sometime soon so I will update my post on how this diffuser works as soon as I've tried it. :)

The Xtava's Collapsible Hair Diffuser for hair dryers came in a nice looking black box. I like the simple black box with a pink design in front. I removed it and the Xtava Collapsible Diffuser came in 3 colors and I chose the pink one. :) It's made of silicone and it's quite similar to the collapsible measuring cups I have but just bigger. I love the neon pink color! :)

It's easy to pop out and once popped out, it stretches up to 5 inches tall. I tried countless times to put it in my hair dryer because I really wanted to try it. My hair dryer by the way is 1875W Ionic Hair Dryer in Pink By Revlon.

The smaller hole's diameter measures roughly about 2 1/2 inches and the mouth of my hair dryer is bigger than that.

The base or bigger hole's diameter where the air should come out measure about 5 1/2 inches.

I really like the color of the Collapsible Diffuser for Hair Dryers by Xtava. I love how it collapses to a smaller and flatter look so that I can easily store it and wouldn't take up too much space.

I was a bit disappointed that it didn't fit my hair dryer because I was super excited to try it. I will keep this and try it when I buy a new hair dryer.

Practice Hand Dexterity With Thinkfun's Knot So Fast From Brain Fitness

ABOUT THE GAME:

Knot tying is a valuable life skill and a great spacial reasoning workout, flexing mental muscles and fine motor skills.

I was a girl scout when I was in Grade 4 and then had a Girl Scout subject when I was in high school for P.E. We were taught hand signals, smoke signals and how to tie knots. When I received the Knot So Fast game, I reminisced back to my elementary and high school Girl Scout subjects but I realized that after more than a decade, I've forgotten the knots I've learned and memorized back then.

The Knot So Fast game by Brain Fitness is a very good way to practice my hand dexterity as well as learning all the knots over again. The game is very simple and the goal is to copy and tie the knot the way it's drawn in the booklet.

The Knot So Fast Game includes the following:
- 40 Challenges With Instructions & Fun Facts
- Rope
- Metal Tying Ring

I was quite excited to try tying the rope to see if I can do the knots properly. The challenge/instruction booklet didn't really tell me the step-by-step instructions on how to tie the knot. I had to figure them out myself which was very fun and challenging. There are fun facts at the bottom of the page on what the knot is about and each time I turn the page, the knots become more and more difficult than the previous one.

The rope included has a nice blue color and is durable and high-quality. The ring included is thick and a bit heavy. What I liked about the Knot So Fast game is that I was able to do the knots by myself. I loved how I had to figure out how to do the knot and then doing it over again to try tying it faster than my previous attempt.

I love this game and I love how simple it is. There are nor batteries required and with only 3 materials included in the game, I can take this along during long trips. :)

Raptor Universal Dashboard Windshield Car Mount From i2 Gear Review

I make sure I don't use my phone when I'm driving because I don't want to risk getting into an accident just because I'm using my phone. So, when we're in the car, I would give my phone to my 3 year old daughter who listens to a reading app on my phone. She would hold my phone to use it but then, I was glad when I tried the Car Universal Holder from i2 Gear. I've tried a couple of car mount holders before but had some issue with the sticky pad included.

The Raptor Universal Dashboard Windshield Car Mount is different than the other car mounts I've tried because instead of a sticky pad, it has a clamp to hold my phone in place. The suction is very powerful and stays stuck on my windshield mirror. The clamp has a tough spring clamp grip which ensures my phone is in place. The inside of the clamp has a red plastic grid which cushioned my phone while helping to keep it in place. I have a Moto G and I placed it on the clamp with my shockproof case on and it stayed in place

One more thing I liked about the Raptor Universal Dashboard Windshield Car Mount is that I can position the mount and adjust it horizontally and vertically with the 360 swivel support. The knob allows me to loosen and tighten the car mount to where I want it to face. This also works great when I used this for our Garmin GPS. The suction cup for our GPS falls off often so we threw it away already.

When I'm not using the Raptor Universal Dashboard Windshield Car Mount for our GPS, I place it in the back side window so that my daughters can both read/watch from my phone. This is such a nice car accessory and I love how it works better than the sticky pads. At least I wouldn't have to worry about any sticky pads losing their stickiness. :)

Sleep Headphones From Bedphones Review

When I was in high school up until I was in college, there are night when I couldn't sleep without listening to music. Now, I still sometimes listen to music to help me sleep. Hubby needs complete silence when he sleeps so I was quite excited to see if I can use these Bedphones to help me sleep without disturbing hubby.

The Bedphones arrived in a very nice white box with the enlarged image of the Bedphones outside. I was excited to open it when I received it and was happy when I saw the Bedphones inside.

The Bedphones includes the following:
- A black travel case
- Pair of Bedphones
- Sleeping Mask
- Extra Replacement Bepdhone ear covers

I tried the Bedphones and here are the things I liked about it:

- The foam-covered speakers are very thin and lay flat against my ears and also very soft. I had no difficulty or discomfort when I sleep on my back and on my side. I also didn't feel uncomfortable while wearing it for longer periods of time during daytime.
- The earhooks of the Bedphones bend to conform to my ears' shape. I have small ears and most times, the ear hooks and ear buds in usual ear/headphones are too big for my ears. With the Bedphones, I can mold the ear hooks to fit my ears to provide a custom fit. :)
- The Bedphones produce a music with less bass. I know other people like earphones and headphones with bass but if I'm trying to sleep, earphones/headphones with bass wouldn't help me relax and sleep. The Bedphones' music output is more on the softer/mellow side which for me is nice. :)
- I love the travel case included. It's small and sturdy which will protect my Bedphones when I travel.
- The sleeping mask is soft and smooth but I gave it to hubby since he's the one who needs complete darkness when sleeping.
- There's an app where I downloaded where the music will automatically turn off depending on how long I set the timer. This is so cool! I wouldn't want to waste battery overnight so this app for the Bedphones is so cool. :)
- The Inline Microphone with remote works great to answer phone calls (in the morning, play, pause and skip music tracks. With 1 push, I can play/pause the music or answer a phone call. With 2 clicks of the remote, I can skip the music to the next track on my list.
- There's a cable slider to tighten the cable down my back to keep the Bedphones secure specially at night.

The Bedphones is great to use at night. Since it produces less bass sounds, I love how it makes me relax and helps me fall asleep at night without disturbing hubby. :)

Yargis PC Game Review + Giveaway 12/15 WW

I've always been interested in PC games ever since I was in younger. I started off playing with Where in The World Is Carmen San Diego until I played RAN online, an RPG game. Aside from PC games, I also played all sorts of other games like Harvest Moon, Farmville and Hay Day.

Since I like trying out new games, I was quite excited when I got to try Yargis. It's a bit out of the norm of what I usually play but still, I was quite excited to try it.

ABOUT THE GAME:

Yargis is a fast paced spaceship shooter game from the top view. Yargis is a pilot for the Earth military in the year 3013. Despite having explored far beyond Pluto and Alpha Centauri, no contact with alien life has been made. Until now. An unknown species only known as the Mukka are attacking Earth and its inhabitants. It is up to Yargis to defend Earth and help uncover their fiendish plot while trying not to get blown to smithereens.

MY REVIEW:

Downloading and installing the game was very easy. I created my profile in less than a minute and I was able to start playing the game. I like the first few levels because there are detailed instructions on how to start the game, the controls I needed to learn and the goals of each level. The graphics and sounds are nice. I like how I can use the keyboard and the mouse to control my ship. The controls does need a bit of practice before I got the hang of what to key/button to press.

Yargis is a fun and fast-paced game which is really nice to play when I need to take a break or unwind.
