My Thoughts:

The book, Persecuted, is an action-packed novel which revolves around John Luther and his fight to reveal his innocence from the accusations thrown at him. I actually liked the main character of the book, John Luther, because he didn't conform to what other people told him to do. He stood firm in what he believed in and he stood firm on his faith and religion. I studied in a Catholic School since I was in elementary and graduated from a Catholic University in the Philippines so I can say I am a Catholic through and through but there are times when I questioned my faith as well as God specially when I faced trials and difficulties in the past. After reading the book, it gave me a stronger will to stand firm in what I believe in and to have faith in Him.

Bella and Bear Eye & Mighty Eyelash Curler Review + Giveaway 8/4 US

I wasn't blessed with thick, long or curled lashes so what do I do? I make sure to always have a nice eyelash curler to enhance my lashes. By saying nice, I mean an eyelash curler which is easy to use and has a no pinch feature. Why? Because I know I don't like it when I accidentally pinch my eyelids with an eyelash curler because it hurts.

The first thing I noticed when I received the Bella and Bear Eyelash Curler was the box. The print of the box is so cute and girly. :) I couldn't wait to see what the eyelash curler looks like.

 The Bella and Bear Eye & Mighty Eyelash Curler has the following features:

- a no pinch and no pain while curling the lashes
- has a non-slip handle and designed ergonomically to get every lash
- has a spring loaded handle which means you get a more lift with less pressure

When I opened the box, I saw that the Bella and Bear Eye & Mighty Eyelash Curler has a cute colored handle and is very light. It has a white plastic clip which holds the handles together for easier storage.

Here is a close-up picture of my lashes prior to using the Bella and Bear Eye and Mighty Eyelash Curler.

Time to try the eyelash curler! The Bella & Bear Eyelash curler is light which made it easier to use. I started at the base of my lashes (the closer to the eyelids the better curl) and held it there for about 15 seconds. Then, carefully, I did a light and gentle tugging motion outwards while squeezing and unsqueezing the eyelash curler until I reached the end of my lashes to get the natural curled lashes look. Just be careful not to tug too hard or you might tug your lashes off! :)

I usually just put on my Physician's Formula mascara for my everyday daytime look to make it more natural looking but since we went out for dinner, I used my COVERGIRL Bombshell Curvaceous Mascara on my lashes to add volume and thickness (which I got free from Influenster).

I like the Bella and Bear Eye & Mighty Eyelash Curler because it didn't pinch my eyelids. It's also very easy use and is very effective in curling my lashes.

Shell Game by Thinkfun Review

When I was still in college, my ability to memorize was a lot better maybe because I need to read lots of textbooks, memorize a lot of formulas and lots of scientific and medical terms. Right now, I noticed that memorizing things has become harder for me maybe because it's been years since I had to really push my brain to memorize things.

ThinkFun, originally called Binary Arts, is a company founded in 1985 by Bill Ritchie and Andrea Barthello, a husband-and-wife team. Their mission is "To translate the brilliant ideas of the craziest mathematicians, engineers and inventors into simple toys that can be appreciated by boys and girls around the world.". They have a wide variety of games which cater to all people of all ages who likes to challenge their mind and to sharpen their skills. They are the world's leader in fun games which build reasoning and creative thinking through play.

ThinkFun sent me their Shell Game to try in exchange for an honest review and I couldn't wait to try it. The Shell Game is meant to improve memory and logic skills to solve the puzzle. It's for people ages 8 to adult and is meant for a single player only (of course no cheating! :))

The Shell Game includes:

- Shell Game Challenge Booklet with 60 challenges
- Instructions & Solutions Manual

Before playing the Shell Game, I read the manual first so that I can familiarize myself on the rules and goal of the game. It's very easy to understand and the goal of the Shell Game is to properly position the colored crab/s on their proper end point position.

I started with the first page and this is the beginning position of the crab and the stones. The top diagram is the beginning position (red circle with the letter A is on the left) and the end point should look like the diagram on the bottom where the red circle with the letter A is on the far right. To make things more interesting, the white shells are used to cover the crab and the stones in order to test my memory. The brown arcs are the ones I can swap my shells until I reach my end position. I forgot to take a picture of my end position but I did finish the first page without difficulty. :)

There are 3 levels of difficulty and every page becomes harder and more difficult than the one before. This game is addictive and it really tested my memory. The first few pages are easy enough for my 5 year old daughter to do with supervision but as I've said, every page becomes harder to do and I couldn't wait to finish the entire booklet.
