Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care Razor #GotItFree

The only thing I shave on my body is my underarm. So when I pick a razor, I pick something that my underarm would love. :)

I've tried countless different razors. What I look for a razor is the close shave so that I won't have to shave that often.

#GotItFree
When BzzAgent offered a free sample to test the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care razor, I was happy because I am getting a free razor to test. Yay! :)

I like the packaging and the color of the razor. It says that it gives back moisture to rehydrate and has hypoallergenic serum to protect against irritation. It also has 5 curve sensing blades.

There are 2 cartridges included inside the box.

What I noticed when I used the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care razor was that it was so slippery. I always use soap when I shave (I used a shaving cream before and oh boy my underarm itched like crazy so I sticked to soap) to give the razor extra lubrication but soap + the Shick Hydro Silk Sensitive Care Razor is a no no! It made the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Razor glide easily I had a hard time removing my underarm hair.

I tried it again the second time now with just water and it glided perfectly. I did notice that it did a great job when it comes to giving me a close shave.

I forgot to mention there was a holder with a suction cup for the razor. I placed it high above the shower so that my daughters wouldn't accidentally hit it when they take a bath. :)

For the sensitive part, my underarms would sometimes get red and itchy due to shaving (even if I use the same razor but not always!). When I used the Schick Hydro Silk Sensitive Razor the first time, my underarms didn't turn red and itchy. Thank God. :) I hope it still doesn't turn red and itchy the next time I use it. :)

Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
PineBrosSoftishThroatDrops.jpg
Having a sore throat is a big nuisance for me. I hate the achy and painful feeling when swallowing anything (it hurts to swallow even my own saliva!). I've tried cough drops and throat drops and in my experience, after eating a couple, my tongue and the roof of my mouth would become raw and a bit scraped.

I tried the Cherry pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops and I instantly loved it. It has a gummy texture but is more rubbery than a normal gummy candy (like gummy bears or gummy worms). The taste is also not too overpowering. Actually, it doesn't taste too sweet and it's not minty at all.

Have I mentioned that it's gummy?! Oh I guess I have. LOL. I really love the gummy texture because it didn't scrape the roof of my mouth. I actually loved chewing it a little bit although it says in the instructions that I have to dissolve it slowly and not chew it.

The bigger bag is perfect when I'm at home. The problem is, it's not resealable at all so once I opened it, I had to tape it so that it wouldn't reopen accidentally.

It comes in a "puck" size so I can just pop one in my bag. This one is more convenient to use when on the go since it's in a hard case and is resealable.

It's also available in Natural Honey and Licorice flavor.

You can learn more about the Pine Bros. Company here. You can also purchase their products online or in stores. You can find the list of retail stores that offer Pine Bros. Softish Throat Drops here.

What do you do when you have a sore throat?

Noxicare Natural Pain Relief Cream Review and Giveaway 2/24 US

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
NoxicareNaturalPainReliefCream.jpg
As a blogger (and a giveaway addict *wink*), I sometimes get wrist pain due to typing. I usually use a medicated topical pain relief cream but I am not a fan of the menthol smell.

I was surprised that it has a kind of neon yellow color but was glad that it is odorless. If you've read my past posts, I don't like it when companies label their products unscented or odorless but when you use it, you get this weird smelling scent from the product. Noxicare is REALLY odorless. :)

I also like it since it is all-natural and non-medicated. It also absorbs very fast and is non-greasy.

Based on my experience, this worked for me. The pain on my wrist was gone in about 20 minutes. Comparing it to the medicated topical brand I usually use, it took longer for the pain to subside (for just about 5 minutes). But since the pain on my wrist is tolerable, I would definitely use the Noxicare Pain Relief Cream rather than the medicated topical pain relief cream since it's natural and non-medicated.

The Noxicare Natural Pain Relief Cream not only works for muscle aches but also for nerve pain and inflammation. It contains 7 of the most potent natural pain relievers which include Turmeric Extract, Willow Bark Extract, Ginger Extract, Holy Basil Extract, Rosemary Extract, Alpha Lipoic Acids and Boswellia Extract. It is Paraben-free and safe for everyday use.

My 2 year old daughter had a nosebleed (Epistaxis) for 30 minutes!

Last night, at 9:10 pm, we had the scare of our lives. My 2 year old daughter had a nosebleed (Epistaxis) for the first time and it scared us because for more than 20 minutes, blood just flowed down from her left nostril.

We tried to put ice and apply pressure but every time we try to look if the bleeding stopped, the blood would just flow down freely like there was an open faucet in her nose. At 9:30 pm, we decided to take her to an Urgent Care Center because we got really scared.

At the Urgent Care Center, the receptionist told me in a calm voice, "Don't worry she'll be fine". Okay. Maybe my hands were shaking while I was signing up my daughter's name and my voice was a bit shaky while I was talking to her that's why she told me that. I found it a bit irritating at the moment because I'm not the one to panic easily but at this moment, I am panicking.

We waited for about 10 minutes before she was seen by the doctor.

The doctor came in and looked at her nose. He removed the blood pooling at her nose and we were surprised of the super long and huge blood clot. It was formed, super long and very stretchy. I can't even imagine how that blood clot formed and fit inside my daughter's nose!

Her nose still bled a little after that and he lied her down. He made us press the bridge of her nose some more and came back with a prescription. We left and soon after my daughter's nose stopped bleeding.

My 5 year old daughter has occasional nosebleeds but it only last for less than 5 minutes. When I was about 8 years old, I used to have frequent nosebleeds too so at the back of my mind, maybe this was hereditary. Maybe they got it from me.

I practically know first aid on a nose bleed but seeing it this severe the first time made me research more about nose bleeding.

Here are some tips to treat nosebleeds in children:

1. Keep child in a sitting position and have him/her lean slightly forward.
2. Pinch the soft part of the nose to close the nostril and apply pressure to the vein as well.
3. Don't place anything inside the nose like tissue or gauze.
4. Hold for 5 minutes then check of bleeding has stopped. If not, then repeat step 2.

Ice can help stop nose bleeds (by constricting the blood vessels) but my daughter didn't like it. She squirmed and cried when we put the ice too long.

Has your child experience nosebleeds before? What did you do?

Dino Dan Trek's Adventures: Tyrannosaurus Trek DVD Review + Giveaway 2/17 US

NCircleEntertainment

My now 5 year old daughter was and still is a fan of Dino Dan. She is so fascinated with dinosaurs that she jumped up and down when I showed her the Dino Dan Trek's Adventure: Tyrannosaurus Trek DVD.

What I liked about the first episode is that it showed the continuity and transition from the previous Dino Dan to this new Dino Dan series. Dan was the main character in the first Dino Dan series and in this new series, Trek (Dan's younger brother), is the new main character.

In the first episode, my daughter briefly saw Dan on his video message for his younger brother and boy was I surprised that Dan is a teen already! At least that's what he looks like on his video message. :)

Dan was away on a trip so he sent all of his dinosaur tracking gadgets to Trek, his younger brother. Trek then realized that he can see dinosaurs just like his big brother and started his Dino Experiment 101.

My 5 year old daughter loved the old Dino Dan but she laughed more with the Dino Dan Trek's Adventures episodes. Trek is more playful and more silly than Dan so she liked the new episodes more.

I like that it's a show that taught my daughters simple facts about dinosaurs and how they lived before. My daughter even knows more dinosaur facts than me! LOL. :)

The Dino Dan Trek's Adventure has 5 different episodes including Team Dino, Use Your Dino Senses, Dino Climbers, Tyrannosaurus Trek, and Trekoodon. It has a running time of approximately 60 minutes.

She loved the Dino Dan Trek's Adventure DVD and said she wanted to watch more episodes! :)

If you have young kids who loves dinosaurs, then they would love and enjoy this as much as my daughters did.

SRP: $12.99 (It's on sale right now at Walmart.com for only $6.96!)

La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum Update Week 2 and 3

If you've read my 1st review of the La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum, you will know that I have promised to make an updated review after 2 weeks of using it. I somehow forgot to post an update so to make it up, I have included a picture of the 3rd week I've been using it.

You can read my original review of the La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum here.

After 3 weeks of using it (religiously every night), I can honestly say my overall complexion on my face became better. I've noticed some dark spots have lightened and others have faded as well. My skin became less oilier as compared to before using the La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum.

I definitely recommend you to try the La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum. I would continue using it without doubt. :)

You can read more about La Beaute Pure Vitamin C Serum on Amazon or on their website. :)
