MY REVIEW:

I have 2 left feet but that doesn't keep me from wanting to dance. This DVD teaches the basics of 4 classic ballroom dances: Salsa, Swing, Merengue and Bachata. I only have a background on Swing because my grandfather loves this dance but the other ballroom dances were quite new to me.

The Dance Lessons Starter Kit makes learning these dances easier because they breakdown the basic steps into shorter, much simpler ones. If I can't do the steps properly the first time, I can just repeat the steps by pressing the rewind button on my DVD remote control.

This also features a close-up portion on the basic footwork so that I can clearly see what's happening and how to do the footwork properly. What's nice is that I can learn these dances in my own pace and at the comfort of my own home. I don't feel pressured into watching the DVD, specially if I'm busy.

After trying out the Dance Lessons Starter Kit by DanceCrazy, I've learned some of the basic steps of Salsa, Swing, Merengue and Bachata. I didn't become a professional dancer though, but I'm glad I can do the steps properly.

I've never heard about Bachata before so I was quite excited to see what the dance is about. After watching and following SalsaCrazy's Bachata 3-DVD Mastery System, I fell in love with the dance. It's so sensual and sexy that I wanted to master it.

The Volume 2 DVD is more advanced and I like how there are new more complicated dance steps included as well as tips and etiquette when you're on the dance floor. I've just started with the Volume 2 DVD and I love how I can learn it on my own pace.

The Volume 3 DVD is a bit more challenging than the Volume 2 and I wouldn't dare do the steps yet. I've watched it but I can't wait to finish the Volume 2 DVD so that I can head on to learning the challenging steps.

Swing has a special place in my heart because my late grandfather loved to dance swing. He would dance with us when we were little, even though we really don't know how to properly dance the swing, to the song "Can't Take My Eye Off Of You" so whenever I hear that song, it reminds me of my late grandfather.

I took up ballroom dancing in one of my P.E. Class for 1 semester when I was in college and ever since then, I was quite intrigued and interested in ballroom dancing although I didn't get the chance and time to pursue my interest in ballroom dancing.

When I received the Beginner's Swing Volume 1 by DanceCrazy, I didn't know there were different kinds of swing dances. In this DVD, it teaches the East Coast and City Swing.

The City Swing is more of a bubbly step which I really liked. The steps are easy to follow and for me is simpler than other ballroom dances.

 I learned that my late grandfather used danced the East Coast Swing so I am more familiar to this version. I like how I learned how to do the steps more properly than before.

The DanceCrazy's Beginner's Swing is a really nice how-to video. It has multiple camera angles which at times focuses on the proper way to do the foot steps. I like how I can just rewind the DVD so that I can repeat the steps over and over again. It has a very simple approach and very easy to understand instructions as well as multiple angles on how to do the basic steps.

What I really like about this DVD is that I can practice the 2 different Swing dances in the comfort of my own home. I can just repeat the steps over and over again until I get the correct and proper form of the 2 dances.

MY REVIEW:

When I was in college, I enrolled in a ballroom dancing P.E. class with my friends. I became interested in the different ballroom dances after that but never had the time to actually enroll in a separate class afterwards. Then came the Salsa Dance Mastery System by Salsa Crazy..

As soon as I played the DVD, I got up and waited for the video to start. It started with an introduction of the dance and a step-by-step instructional video of how to do the Salsa.

The first DVD focuses on how to do the basic Salsa step. The video features a whole body and sometimes a smaller frame in the lower left on how to feet should move. They also show the step in different angles so I'm sure I'm doing the step right. I love the instructional video because they made it so simple and very easy to understand.

They also showed how to do the steps by myself and with a partner, hubby.

As I played the second DVD, I was quite surprised by how more complicated the steps were but with practice, and lots of them!, I managed to follow the steps.

I haven't played the last 2 DVDs yet because I am still currently watching the 3rd DVD which is still instructional videos with a more complicated hand and feet movement.

What I liked about this DVD set is that I can replay the steps over and over again until I do the steps right. I don't have to be pressured on how long I'll be able to do the step since I can do it over and over again. One more thing, I can practice the steps at the comfort of my own home so I wouldn't have to be embarrassed if I don't do the steps right the first, second or third time. :) I also like that while learning the dance, I'm moving so I am getting a bit fit. :)

I can say I can dance a little Salsa now but not professionally, of course. I love this DVD set and I can't wait to get on to the 4th and 5th DVD. :)
