SafeBest Bike Lock Review

I have a bike that I seldom use now so I park it in our front porch. My husband's bike got stolen at the parking lot of our apartment complex so, for security reasons and for my peace of mind, I wanted to lock my bike even though it's parked in our front porch. That's why I was excited to try the SafeBest Bike Lock.

It is 6 ft long, lightweight but is made of 1/4" Steel Braided Cable with a 3/8" Coated Sleeve around it to prevent the bike from being scratched. It includes a Bike lock holder for easy storage while riding.
The lock is preset to 0-0-0-0 but I was able to reset it according to my preferred combination. The instructions on how to set the bike lock combination was easy to understand and is similar to other combination locks I've had before: set combination to 0-0-0-0, remove cable lock, turn knob at 90 degrees in a clockwise manner to the designated position, reset number combination to desired numbers (don't forget to make sure that the numbers are lined up along the marks on the case), the turn the knob back in its original position in a counterclockwise direction and it's done.

In my opinion, this is okay to use during the day or in a short period of time. For example, when I ride my bike to the grocery store and buy something quickly, then this bike lock is safe to use and will prevent my bike from being stolen. During the night, it's a different story because hubby used his similar sized bike cable one time (he has a thicker metal chain) before and his bike was gone the next day. Overall, this bike lock looks sturdy and durable and perfect to bring when we ride our bikes to the grocery store since it's lightweight but not enough for night time use.
