IceCubby Large Ice Storage Holder By Pratico Kitchen Review
We make our own ice at home using an ice mold because first, a 7 lb. bag ice doesn't have a space on our freezer and second, we don't have a refrigerator which dispenses ice cubes. One thing I noticed was that sometimes, the ice would taste weird because it would take up the odor of something in our freezer. When I received the Pratico Kitchen IceCubby, I looked forward to trying this because this has a cover which will help keep our ice from absorbing certain odors from our freezer.
The Pratico Kitchen IceCubby arrived in a neat packaging. It has a lavender cover and a white, opaque base. Here is a quick product description from the company:
✔ STORE LARGE ICE SPHERES OR CUBES - Holds up to 4 - 2.5 in ice spheres or 4 - 2.25 in ice cubes - works with ice made from popular brands of ice sphere molds and trays (like the Praticube Ice Tray)
✔ QUICK & EASY ACCESS TO ICE - No need to fumble around with ice cube trays and molds to get to your ice, just grab a sphere or cube from the Cubby when you want it
✔ PREVENT UNWANTED FREEZER ODORS - East to remove cover lid keeps unwanted odors and smells from being asorbed into your large ice spheres and cubes
✔ DISHWASHER SAFE & PRACTICAL SHAPE - IceCubby is easy to clean, maintains the sphere shape of ice, and fits most freezers at 10.0 x 3.8 x 3.5 inches in size
The IceCubby looks durable and the plastic used is sturdy.
Ts can store 4-2.5 ice spheres or 4-2.25 inch ice cubes. For me, I also like using it to store smaller ice cubes and I like how it keeps the ice cubes frozen and tasting fresh. It helps keep the ice cubes in absorbing fish-y or other odors in our freezer.
This is easy to clean and I like that we always have spare ice cubes in the freezer. Now, we never run out of ice cubes because we know that it's time to pop out and make new ice cubes when the IceCubby is empty.
