I have an oily skin type but there are parts on my face which are drier like my chin and sides of my nose. It's not often that they look flaky but when they do, it can last for a couple of days. When I received the Nouveau Organic Ultra Hydrating Moisturizer, I looked forward to trying it because it's 100% USDA organic / vegan / gluten-free / soy-free / dairy-free / cruelty-free. The Nouveau Organic Ultra Hydrating Face Moisturizer has a property similar to cooking oil. It solidifies when the temperature is cooler and liquefies like oil when the temperature is warmer. In the solid state, it has a yellowish color and in the liquid state, it has a clear, oily consistency.

Since my skin type is already oily, I only apply this on the dry, flaky parts on my face. Upon touching, the solid state of the Nouveau Organic Ultra Hydrating Face Moisturizer almost automatically turns into the liquid, oily state. This is unscented and a little amount goes a long way.

This is effective in alleviating and lessening the flakiness on my chin and sides of the nose. It does feel a bit greasy upon application but after becoming absorbed, it doesn't feel heavy at all. This didn't cause me any breakouts or skin irritation which is nice as well.

I also tried to use this on my knees and elbows because they're drier compared to the skin on my arms and legs. I love how this is effective in moisturizing my knees and elbows and keeps them hydrated.

Since I only need a dab of this moisturizer every application, the jar would last for months.
