Having an accurate and reliable blood pressure monitor at home gives me the ability to measure my blood pressure daily which for me is nice because I can have a baseline of my normal blood pressure. Aside from knowing the baseline of my blood pressure, I also like to monitor hubby's as well. Why? Because a change in blood pressure can be a sign of different health conditions.

When I received the Health Gurus Blood Pressure Monitor, I was quite excited to try it. Although I already have a blood pressure monitor at home, I still like trying new things to see if they're accurate as well and share my opinions with you.

Here is a quick product description from the company:
Easy To Read Backlit LCD
Irregular Heart Beat Detector
2 Users
Records up to 120 readings in memory
Large one-size fits all upper rm cuff

- Health Gurus Blood Pressure Monitor
- Arm cuff with the adaptor and tube for the blood pressure monitor
- carrying pouch
- instructions

The Health Gurus Blood Pressure Monitor is easy to use and operate. The first time I turned it on, I had to set the date and time. The cuff link has an attached tube and plug which goes to the hole on the side of the blood pressure monitor. This inflates and deflates the cuff link.

The Health Gurus Blood Pressure Monitor has a large LCD display. It also has a blue back light so that reading the display is easier.

With just a push of the Start/Stop button, the Health Gurus Blood Pressure Monitor takes my blood pressure in less than 30 seconds. The cuff inflates and deflates automatically so after taking my blood pressure, I just have to remove the cuff from the blood pressure monitor and fold it to store it.

The cuff has an image of how it's supposed to be placed on the arm. The cuff can only be used for adults and can fit an arm circumference of 22 to 42 cm. It fits comfortably and doesn't irritate my arm. It's secured by a velcro closure which secures the cuff even when inflated. The cuff is easy to place on my arm even if I do it myself so that's a plus.

Aside from measuring my blood pressure, which is the systolic and diastolic measurement, this also measures my heart rate per minute. Although I haven't seen the feature of beeping with an irregular heartbeat, this is helpful for those who are suffering from a heart problem.

There is also a small pointer which moves up or down the colored scale on the left side. Since my blood pressure is optimal, the arrow is pointed on the green color.

The carrying case is both useful as a storage and as a bag to bring the Health gurus Blood Pressure Monitor on the go. I like that this holds the blood pressure monitor and the cuff links properly.

I also like how 2 users can both use the Health Gurus Blood Pressure Monitor. This can store up to 60 blood pressure readings per user so that's nice as well. I can also say that this is accurate because this shows my normal blood pressure.

This is user friendly and automatically shuts off in less than a minute which is nice. I like how accurate this blood pressure monitor is and I like how it works.

  1. This looks like a modern and terrific blood pressure kit to keep in the home. I feel as we get older this would definitely be an important product to have and use. Glad that it is easy to use also.

  2. I love that someone's come out with at home blood pressure monitor that actually has a real cuff. I've found that the kind you strap on your arm with the electronics attached are never very accurate (I think the weight if the electronics might throw it off or something). The large LCD looks great for older folk who can't see as well too!
