ABOUT THE BOOK:

Reeling from a terrible accident that claimed the lives of his parents, Felix arrives at Portland College hoping only to survive the experience. In time, however, his reality star roommate shows him there is more to higher education than just classes, shared bathrooms and bad dorm food, and Felix gradually dares to believe he can put his past behind him. But a fateful storm looms on the horizon: In the nearby woods, two hikers become the latest victims in a series of gruesome murders; a disfigured giant embarks on a vicious cross-country rampage, killing teenagers who fail his 'test'; and an ancient society of assassins tasked with eradicating the wielders of a mysterious source of power awakens after a long silence. Only one man--the school's groundskeeper--knows that the seemingly unrelated events are connected, and that an eighteen-year-old boy stands in the center of the storm.

MY REVIEW:

I love non-fiction books and novels about supernatural beings. When I read the synopsis of the ebook, The Felix Chronicles, I was instantly intrigued to read the book.

The story started off in the 336 A.D. which at first left me confused. I re-read the synopsis again thinking I got the wrong book but I read through and learned that the events which happened in the year 336 A.D. was connected to the present lives of Felix, the main protagonist.

The book is a bit longer than most ebooks I've read which is quite refreshing because it took me a bit longer to finish the whole book. The book does not just focus on Felix' life but with the life of his friends and foes as well. I like that this book gave importance to each character's life and some chapters revolve around other character's lives.

The Felix Chronicles is a fun and exciting read and there were some gruesome scenes, specially the murder scenes of both the "wolves"and the hunter which kills teenagers, but not to the point of it being gross.

I like how the characters unfolded and I like the undiscovered budding feelings of Felix and Allison to each other, although they haven't figured it out yet. I can't wait to see what's in store for the next book.
