Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil Review

More often than not, a regular lotion is enough to moisturize my skin but for my elbows and knees, it's a different story. They're drier and needs extra moisturizing most of the time. So, in addition to a regular lotion, I use other products to keep my knees and elbows moisturized.

I've tried coconut oil before and I like how versatile this product is. When I received the Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil, I couldn't wait to try it.

What is a fractionated coconut oil?

According to the company, unscented and hypoallergenic, fractionated coconut oil is loaded with natural antioxidants and MCT triglycerides for healing. An excellent emollient, this light, thin oil can repair damaged skin and is one of the best carrier oils on the market today.

The Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil arrived in a clear, plastic 16 oz. bottle. It also came with a pump which has a safety lock. Twisting it to the left opens the pump while twisting it to the right locks the pump.

The Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil is clear and has a subtle oily yet watery consistency.

It is unscented and the initial feel is slightly oily but it only lasts for a couple of seconds.

The Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil absorbs quickly and it neither feels greasy nor heavy after it's absorbed. It also didn't irritate my skin.

I like how quickly the Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil hydrates my skin. I also like how I can combine this with my scented lotion. I also use this on my hands after I wash the dishes to keep my hands from drying out. A drop or two is all I need for my hands and it automatically restores the hydration and moisture on my hands.

The Bayleaf Botanicals Fractionated Coconut Oil also has a long shelf life, 1 year according to the bottle I received, because of this being fractionated. This doesn't go rancid rapidly which for me is nice because I only need a small amount per application.

  1. I love using coconut oil but never tried Fractionated Coconut Oil before. This is what my family should try though, we have a lot of different skin conditions that this might help.

  2. I live off coconut oil for my skin and cooking but I've never tried fractionated. I've heard of it a lot lately but haven't taken the time to see what it is. I love the long shelf life and the ease of use this would provide. Grabbing a clump of coconut oil and melting it is not exactly user friendly. :)
