I love using a kitchen scale to measure and weigh my food portions because I find this more accurate than estimating the number of pieces of fruits/crackers per serving. I also like using the kitchen scale to accurately weigh ingredients I use when cooking or baking. That's why, I love trying out new kitchen scales and sharing my thoughts with you about the kitchen scales I try out.

I received a Smart Weigh Tempered Glass Touch Digital Kitchen Scale recently to review. I've tried several types of scales from Smart Weigh, both Kitchen and Body scales, and each scale is different from the other in terms of features and specifications.

The Smart Weigh Tempered Glass Touch Digital Kitchen Scale has a sleek, black, stylish design which looked classy and expensive. This scale is also available in white, for those who prefer a different color.

The buttons are very simple and easy to use and I love how sensitive the touch buttons are. The Tare button also works as the on/off button, although if I forget to turn this off, there is an automatic shut-off feature after 1 minute of inactivity.

The Mode button cycles through the different weight display available for the scale which are: lb, oz, g, ml, and cups. The ml and the cups both have a water and a milk option. I like that it has a separate milk and water option since I eat cold cereals in the morning, I can use the Smart Weigh to measure a half cup of milk rather than using a separate measuring cup.

The cup measurement increases in increments of 1/8. I tried to measure a cup of milk here and it is quite accurate. I transferred a cup of milk (from my measuring cup) to a bowl on top of the Smart Weigh Tempered Glass Touch Digital Kitchen Scale and it displayed 1 cup.

The Smart Weigh Tempered Glass Touoch Digital Kitchen Scale also produces a beeping sound every time I push the buttons which is nice because I know that the function has gone through. The TARE button is great (I love this in weighing scales) because it zeroes out the weight of the container. I can also use the TARE function to measure multiple food/ingredients at a time. Like when I'm preparing my cold cereals in the morning, I can just weigh my cereals, granola and milk using the Smart Weigh Kitchen Scale by pressing the TARE button every time I add in a different food product.

The Smart Weigh Tempered Glass Touch Digital Kitchen Scale is also very easy to clean. It is a bit heavy but maybe it's because of the thick tempered glass which is tougher than regular glass. I like how thin this scale is because I can just keep it in our kitchen drawer when not in use.

Overall, I love the 2 different cup measurement option of the Smart Weigh Tempered Glass Touch Digital Kitchen Scale because it's unique and I save time in using my measuring cups for my milk and water.
