MeasuPro BPM-80A Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor Review
I've tried several blood pressure monitors, from the manual and older types which need a stethoscope, to a more modern, digital wrist BP monitor but I've never tried a Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor for home use. I like to keep track of my blood pressure as well as hubby's so that I can immediately see if there are changes in my blood pressure.
When I received the MeasuPro Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor, I was quite excited to see how it would compare to my digital wrist blood pressure monitor.
The MeasuPro Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor came in a flip-top box. The box contained the following:
- MeasuPro Blood Pressure Monitor (model BPM80A)
- Cuff
- 4 x AAA batteries
Here is a quick product description from the company:
MeasuPro is tuned into your needs while monitoring your health on a regular basis. Using advanced technology, the MeasuPro Digital Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor provides accurate measurements of your blood pressure and pulse rate. You'll find that it is compact, comfortable, and simple to use. Using a highly advanced mechanism, it offers state of the art technology to provide the highest grade accuracy. Measurements are taken through a fast and easy process using Measure and Inflate technology. The pressurized arm cuff auto-inflates with the touch of a button and automatically releases the pressure when the measurement is complete. This MeasuPro Digital Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor features a bright LCD display with separate touch buttons for each individual user. The BPM80A records up to 120 blood pressure readings, 60 readings per user with date and time memory recall. Graphical readings are classified in five different levels according to the guidelines of the American Heart Association: Normal, Pre-hypertension, Hypertension Stage 1, Hypertension Stage 2, and Hypertensive crisis. It also calculates and averages your blood pressure based on the last 3 readings and detects irregular heartbeats and any arrhythmias. The MeasuPro blood pressure monitor ships with 4 AAA batteries (included), medium to large sized arm cuff, carrying bag, and user manual.
I quickly read the user manual/booklet included in the box and proceeded to try the MeasuPro Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor.
The 4 x AAA batteries needed to power up the MeasuPro Digital Arm Blood Pressure Monitor is already included in the box so that's nice because I just had to install the batteries at the back of the blood pressure monitor. I like products which comes with batteries because sometimes, I don't have spare batteries at home so that's one less problem for me.
The cuff came detached from the blood pressure monitor. I easily attached it to the left side of the blood pressure monitor. There is a DC 6V slot on the right side of the MeasuPro blood pressure monitor but it didn't come with the adapter.
The gray rubber tube has enough length for me to relax my arm with the MeasuPro blood pressure monitor beside my arm. The cuff is comfortable enough and the velcro snap holds the cuff even when it starts inflating. The cuff also automatically deflates after it finishes measuring my blood pressure so that's nice too because I don't have to manually deflate the cuff anymore.
The MeasuPro blood pressure monitor has a BIG LCD screen with a blue backlight. This makes it much easier to read the measurement because of the big LCD screen.
I like the 2 User setting because me and hubby can track our personal blood pressure measurement. Each of us can store up to 60 blood pressure monitor readings which means we can each have our 2-month blood pressure history. The MeasuPro Digital Blood pressure Monitor also averages the last 3 most recent blood pressure reading.
Aside from these features, the MeasuPro Digital Blood Pressure Monitor also has an automatic shut off/turn off feature after a few seconds of inactivity. I can also turn it off and stop the measurement by pressing either the User 1 or User 2 button while it's taking my blood pressure reading.
The MeasuPro BPM-80A is very easy to use and with a touch of a button and a few seconds, I can see my blood pressure. It is accurate because I compared it to the wrist blood pressure monitor and they almost have the same reading.

I think it is a good idea to have a simple but good blood pressure kit in the house.
