Power Theory 2500 mAh External Battery Power Bank Review
When we go pier fishing or when we go on long trips, my daughters pass time by playing with my smartphone and iPad. The problem? My battery gets drained easily and in times when there are no sockets available, like when we go pier fishing, there is no way I can charge my devices because there are no sockets on the pier.
In times when there are no sockets available to charge my devices, I'm glad that there are now electronic gadget accessories like power banks and external battery chargers which store extra power/battery for my devices. I was happy to be given the chance to try Power Theory's External Battery Power Bank.
Here is a short product description:
THE POWERCARD - A PERFECT COMBINATION OF POWER, SIZE & WEIGHT. Many products claim to be "the world's thinnest, lightest power bank". Usually that just means they don't have enough juice to actually charge your phone enough to use it. If you compare our ratio of weight (60g/2.1oz), to compact size (3.75 x 2.4 x 1/4 inches) to powerful charge (2500 mAh Real Capacity) you will not find a better external battery charger for emergency situations or those days where you need a little extra power.
NO MORE FUSSING AROUND IN YOUR BAG FOR ANNOYING CHARGING CABLES. A portable battery charger is not really portable if you have to also carry the cables that easily break or tangle. Our smartly designed external power bank has a built-in Micro USB and Apple Lightning Cable meaning you have everything need to charge your phone when you need it the most.
NEVER RUN OUT OF BATTERY POWER AGAIN. External battery packs are a great idea in theory, but we found that we never seemed to have them on hand when we needed them the most. To solve this we designed the PowerCard. Our lightweight design means you can always carry the charger with you whether you are out on business, travel or at a restaurant. Our A+ Li-Polymer battery cell (2500 mAh) means that you can depend on the PowerCard to fully charge almost all smartphones.
The Power Theory's External Battery Power Bank is very thin. I was quite impressed by how thin, light and portable it is. It has a nice white color and it can fit the back pocket of my pants with no problems. The charging cable is already included as well as an Apple Lightning Cable which transforms the micro-USB to an Apple Lightning Connector.
The charging cable for the power bank is quite short but fine with me since I charge it on my work table.
The nice part of this is the light blue charging cable for my device is already attached to the Power Theory's Power Bank. I don't have to bring any extra cable with me to charge my device.
One full charge of the Power Theory's External Power Bank can fully charge my drained Moto G with a little bit more power left to charge my iPad mini a bit.
I've drained and recharged the Power Theory's External Battery Power Bank and it still holds the same extra power as the first time I used it. It is durable and I like how small and thin it is.
There is a LED light indicator at the back of the power bank. When I charge the power bank, there is a red LED light indicator which means it's charging. When the power bank is already fully charged, the red LED light turns off. The blue LED light indicates that the power bank is charging my device.
This is a very small yet powerful device and I really like it. Now, I don't have to worry about my devices' batteries draining when we're out pier fishing or out on a trip.
