ABOUT THE BOOK:

With the aid of Andillrian, Ipzaag, Selantia, and Anarra, Darrak continues his fight to save Earth and Dragonath from the destruction of Halla Magic. But after the appearance of a dragon who could change the tide of war in their favor, Darrak learns that not everyone's oath to protect him was genuine. Deserted by two of his companions and facing a cunning and powerful army, Darrak realizes the enemy forces no longer answer to Mionee.

A darker power has emerged from the shadows.

Payton Niemel has returned, and his intense hatred for Darrak's ancestors remains. He will stop at nothing to finish what he began centuries before; to destroy the Keera bloodline and claim dominance over all of Dragonath. And this time, he has the power to see it done.

MY REVIEW:

I've always loved fantasy novels and books which feature beings with supernatural abilities so, when I got the chance to get a copy of the Awakening: Book Two Of The Dragonath Chronicles, I was super excited to read it because the synopsis really interested me.

I haven't read The Heir Book One of the Dragonath Chronicles but I immediately got hooked to the Awakening Book Two of the Dragonath Chronicles. I was a bit confused with the characters at first (since I haven't read the Book One Yet) but, after reading a few chapters, I was able to put faces to each character in the book. The book was very well written and I love how each character has their own special power. Darrak, which is the male protagonist of the book, is a very interesting character and I loved how his character developed throughout the book. Each chapter showed me glimpses of what's happening in the enemy's camp as well as the camp of Darrak.

The first time Niemel, the main antagonist, appeared, I was super grossed out on the way he was described. I honestly get goosebumps every time he appears throughout the novel. There was also an element of surprise in the love story of Darrak and honestly, I was a bit sad and at the same time excited on what will happen to him in the next book of the Dragonath Chronicles.

The Awakening Book Two of the Dragonath Chronicles is such a nice book that I finished it in 1 sitting. If you're into fantasy books and series, then this is a must-read! :)
