100% Seaweed Powder By instaNatural Review
Since I'm a fan of facial masks, I love trying out different kinds and types of facial masks. I've tried a seaweed mask before and I liked the results. Recently, I got to try InstaNatural's 100% Natural Seaweed Powder.
The InstaNatural's 100% Natural Seaweed powder is made of certified organic kelp. It has only 1 ingredient: Certified Organic, 100% Natural & Kosher Certified Seaweed Powder (Ascophyllum nodosum). It can be used in a variety of ways: a body wrap, a facial scrub or a facial mask.
InstaNatural's Seaweed Poweder works in a couple of ways which includes:
- Absorbs excess water
- Removes impurities
- Reduces appearance of cellulite
- Minimizes appearance of pores
- Delivers high concentration of vitamins & minerals
- Helps to even skin tone & texture
- Provides nourishment for softer, smoother skin
The InstaNatural's 100% Seaweed Powder arrived in a big plastic tub. I was surprised by the big size of the tub and the amount of seaweed powder inside because it was filled almost to the brim. It has a second seal inside to prevent the powder from spilling during transport.
If you're familiar with the dried seaweed or "Nori" in Japanese rolls, the scent of the InstaNatural's Seaweed Powder is very similar to this. The powder has a green color and has a fine, powder texture similar to confectioner's sugar.
The label has some nice ideas on how to make a natural body scrub and body wrap as well as a face mask but I chose to do a simple face mask with only the seaweed powder and water. In the mixture above, I used 2 tablespoons of the seaweed powder and just added warm water until I found the consistency I wanted. I mixed it properly until almost all the clumps were gone.
Using 2 tablespoons was too much for 1 application so I'll use just 1 tablespoon instead next time.
The scent of the seaweed powder intensified when I made my seaweed mixture. If you're not a fan of seaweed or its' scent, I suggest you add a drop or two of an essential oil you use to mask the scent of the seaweed powder. If you're okay with the scent of seaweed, then no need to worry.
Since I'm fine with the seaweed scent, I applied it directly onto my face. I used it like a regular mud mask and waited 15 minutes for it to dry up. I then rinsed it off using warm water and dried my face. I noticed that the scent of the seaweed stayed on my skin so I sprayed a bit of my Vitamin C toner to mask the scent of seaweed a bit. I like to eat seaweed but I wouldn't want to smell like seaweed when I go to bed. :)
The InstaNatural's Seaweed Powder is very easy to prepare and with the big tub, I'm sure this will last a long time because I only need a little amount for every application. I felt a slight tightening sensation on my skin while the seaweed mask is drying up which I think is nice. After rinsing the seaweed mask off, I noticed that my skin looks brighter. I didn't get any skin reactions or breakouts when using the InstaNatural's seaweed mask and no clogged pores either.
InstaNatural's 100% Seaweed powder is a nice product to use since it's all-natural and effective.

How cute. This really look amazing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lady Lilith. It is! :) Different from what I usually use for a face mask but it works! :)
DeleteI've been looking all over town for seaweed powder to add to my bath salts because it's supposed to help soothe irritated/itchy skin. I ended up getting some dried seaweed strips from a Japanese grocery store to use in a pinch, but those are kinda messy in the bath! Thanks for the review, I'll have to grab some of this on Amazon.
ReplyDeleteI love eating the dried seaweed strips for snacks and I haven't thought of adding it to my bath. They are oily though and the ones we buy have salt added to them. :) This is pure seaweed in powder form so I hope it'll help to soothe your irritated/itchy skin. Tell me how it goes. :) Thanks for the comment!
