We Choose Virtues Poster Review + Giveaway 12/8 US/CAN

Virtues. I think virtues are very important because these will be help my daughters in building their character and how they can be better persons when they grow up. Because they're still young, I have a hard time teaching it to them word for word so I show it to them through my actions so that they'll follow in my example.

Aside from showing it to them through my actions, We Choose Virtues has a poster which is very colorful and eye-catching. For little children, my girls are 3 and 6, something colorful would catch their attention quickly.

The We Choose Virtues Poster consist of the 12 virtues which are: I am Diligent, I am Obedient, I am Kind, I am Helpful, I am Forgiving, I am Honest, I am Perseverant, I am Self-controlled, I am Content, I am Patient, I am Gentle and I am Attentive.

What I like about this poster is that beside the virtue, there is an image of what the image is all about so, my 3 year old daughter, who can't read yet, can easily associate what virtue it is. I also like how each virtue has an example of what the virtue is all about in a simple manner so that young kids could understand it. There's also an antonym of what the virtue is all about so that helps a lot too. Everyday, I read a virtue to my daughters so that they can get accustomed to what the virtues are. I believe that repetition would make them remember these more easily.

  2. I visited the We Choose Virtues Website and I learned that the posters were originally created to help children learn positive and consistent instructions by giving them a list of virtues and unforgettable catchphrases.

I think these posters are great because children need to learn from an early age what is really important. By using these posters it constantly reinforces simple ideas.

If I won I would put the posters in my kids rooms.
