Nite Ize Gear Ties Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I hate cluttered, messy and unruly cords. I mean who doesn't right? They are a sore to look at and I feel like my world is cluttered whenever I see them. Okay that last sentence was an exaggeration just to prove my point. :P

I used to use the twisty ties in brand new appliances with cords we buy to organize our cords in the house but hey, sometimes they just can't hold all the wires together because of their small size. I was glad to have been sent a pack of Nite Ize Gear Ties to try and review.

Each pack has 8 different colored Gear Tie with variable sizes. What I noticed about the Gear Ties when I removed them from the packaging was the quality. It is very bendy, thick and durable. It has a soft and rubbery texture so I am confident it won't leave a scratch or mark on things. It's also waterproof so I won't have to worry when my daughters accidentally spills something on them.

I also like the various sizes included because the bigger/longer ones are perfect for the wires on our TV/DVD/Roku/adaptors.

I used the smaller black Nite Ize Gear Tie on the laptop cord my daughter uses.

I used the blue one on the PC cord. :)

P.S. See the twisty ties I used before? :)

Of course my daughters didn't pass up the opportunity to make "hearts" out of the Nite Ize Gear Ties. See they had fun making hearts! :)

I can definitely say that the Nite Ize Gear Ties are great to keep the cords at home in order. These were also great for teaching my daughters shapes since they're super bendy yet it retains it's original state. :) These are the kind of product which I think will last for a long time.

You can learn more about the Nite Ize Gear Ties on their website. They have other cool products as well. :)

The Adventures of Mouse and Mole DVD Review + Giveaway 3/13 US/CAN

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Organakids.jpg
As a mom, I look for new shows which are age-appropriate for my daughters. They may have their own favorites but once in a while, I want them to see and watch other shows so that they can

When I received The Adventures of Mouse and Mole Volume 1 DVD from Organa, I first noticed the semi-vintage/old design of the cover print. When we played the DVD, the animation is the same as the cover print. It's like watching a cartoon made years ago which is what made me like it. It's different from the cartoon shows my daughters currently watch.

I also like the simplicity of the episodes and the voices of the characters (Mouse and Mole). It's very soothing and they talk slowly which is nice because my 3 year old daughter can easily follow what they're saying. The Adventures of Mouse and Mole Volume 1 has 10 episodes and each episode is only 5 minutes long so it's enough to keep my 2 daughters' attention.

Here is the list of episodes for the Volume 1 DVD:
  • Preposterous Puddle
    Tidying Up
    Stuff
    The Daffodil
    Least Expecting
    The Picnic
    The Hammock
    Whiskers
    Half A Banana
    Catch A Falling Leaf

Here is a short description from Organa:

This series originally aired in BBC is a sparkling adaptation of Joyce Dunbar's classic stories about practical Mouse and capricious Mole. Mouse and Mole live together in a little cottage in the country. Mouse is practical and cheerful. Mole gets into scrapes and needs mollycoddling. Their everyday adventures appeal to adults and children alike. the charm of the stories lies in the endearing friendship of the two central characters and the humor of their exchanges.

Organa has generously offered a giveaway for a The Adventures of Mouse and Mole Volume 1 DVD for one of my readers! Yay!! :) Enter on the Rafflecopter below. :)

You can also check out Organa's website if you'd like to purchase The Adventures of Mouse and Mole DVD.

Private Island Party - St. Patrick's Day Costume/Accessories Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
StPatricksDayCostume.jpg
My daughters love dressing up so when Private Island Party sent me some cute St. Patrick's Day Accessories to review, I was excited.

I received the accessories in the above photo. My daughters were excited about the headbands and the glasses.

The glasses were very cute.  The quality is okay considering the price of the glasses. My daughters love the glasses and tried it on but it's a little big for them (they're almost 3 and 5). The glasses are for older children or adults. It fits perfect on me.

It's priced at $4.99 and you can find it here.

When my daughters saw the headband, they immediately wanted to try it. Who wouldn't want to try the headband with the springy clover right? :) I think it's cute but it would fall off my daughters' heads maybe because the headband itself is too big or the springy clover is heavy. I tried it on me and it fits okay. I tried to shake my head and it stayed in place. :)

These are just $0.99 each so they're a good price for me. :) You can find it here.

The Shamrock beads were made of plastic and is very light. I think for the price of $4.99, they're a bit expensive. Although the size is big, I personally think this should be priced lower. :) You can find the Shamrock beads here.

My favorite would have to be the Newsboy cap because it looks cute. It's description says it's a sequin newsboy cap but the shiny round things weren't sequins. The round shiny dots were more of like plastic foil BUT that being said, the Newsboy cap is really cute. :)

The Newsboy cap is priced at $5.99. You can find it here.

My almost 3 year old daughter tried on everything and see the headband falling off? I tried to do something about it so that it will stay in place. :)

See? Clips would make the headband stay in place! :) I put the springy headband in between 2 clips on her hair and it fits fine.

I think the best value out of the different accessories they sent me would be the headbands. Because it's a one-time use accessory (and because I look at the price first), I would definitely visit the dollar tree first. The quality of some of the accessories I received might be better than that of the items at the Dollar Tree but as I've said, for a one-time use, I will definitely go for the items at Dollar Tree. :) But, if you plan on keeping these for next year or you want quality over price, then Private Island Party is perfect for your St. Patrick's Day celebration.

Private Island Party offers a wide variety of accessories and costumes for everyone! You can check their website to see more options.

Hip Hop Abs Workout Review

I've been loyal to Hip Hop Abs for almost 5 years now. Well not exactly 5 years of continuously doing the workout routine but more of the on and off type BUT it's the only workout DVD I own and bought because I loved it since the first time I saw my sister doing the routine. :)

I love Hip Hop Abs since I don't need to do crunches. I don't like doing crunches ever since I experienced back pain for almost 2 months about a year ago.

Weights are not mandatory but you can use it for a higher intensity workout. In my case, I've bought 2 -1 lb. weights and use it whenever Shaun T uses it. They recommend weighted gloves but I think the weights are okay as well. There is also a work-out calendar you can follow but I really don't follow this and I can still see and feel the results.

You can opt to watch the Secret to Flat Abs video where Shaun T and his group will show you the basics for the different videos like how to tilt and tuck but for me, I didn't have to use this. I skipped right to the workout videos.

Okay this will be a bit long since Hip Hop Abs have 2 levels of intensity and each level has a couple of different workouts. Okay let's get started!

For Level 1, there are 4 different workouts I do:

Fat Burning Cardio:

I do this workout if I don't want to have sore muscles and just burn calories. I don't really dance but the first time I did the Fat Burning Cardio, I didn't have a hard time following the routine. I think the intensity for this routine would be depending on the exaggeration of your moves. I can do this routine without sweating and I can do this same routine ending up sweating like a pig. This workout is about 30 minutes including the warm-up and the cool-down.

Total Body Burn:

This would be the longest workout routine among the 4 Level 1 Hip Hop Abs workout. This runs for about 42 minutes and this makes my body a little bit sore afterwards. This requires weights for about half of the time but if you don't like weights, you can follow Tanya, the girl with bangs to the right of Shaun T. She always do the modified version (for all the Hip Hop Abs workouts) and you can follow her for a lower intensity workout.

Hips, Buns and Thighs:

I personally love the Hips, Buns and Thighs because in just 25 minutes, I feel that I've effectively lost calories. I did this for 1 week straight and I've seen a difference on my tummy. I love the squats and the glute trimmer at the end of the work-out.

Ab Sculpt:

I do Ab Sculpt after doing either the Hips, Buns and Thighs or the Fat Burning Cardio. This runs for about 24 minutes and for me, I use weights to intensify my workout.  I like the Ab Sculpt since I've proven that it did flatten my bulge a bit BUT I have yet to achieve the perfect abs I've been dreaming of. :P

For Level 2, there are just 3 different workouts included. The workout included are Fat Burning Cardio 2, Ab Sculpt 2 and the Total Body Burn 2.  I've done the Level 2 Workouts before and I can say they're really difficult. It made my body sore for days specially my thighs. I prefer the Level 1 Workouts since they are effective for me as of the moment. I will update my post if I have moved to Level 2 of Hip Hop Abs.

And to summarize my long review (I should've just done this right? :)):

Who it’s good for: The Level 1 workout is good for those who are just starting to exercise. There is a modified version for each workout (follow Tanya the Asian girl to the right of Shaun T) which is easier and targeted for beginners. Once you get accustomed to the routine, then you can switch to the normal workout. :). This is also good for those with back problems since you don't need to do crunches to flatten your tummy.

Who shouldn’t use it: I think everyone can use this as long as you can follow the video. Even my almost 3 and 5 year old daughters follow Shaun T and exercise with me once in a while. :)

Time needed: The different workouts require different times so it would be somewhere between 25 minutes to an hour (if you do the Total Body Burn + Abs Sculpt together) :)

Equipment needed: None. You can opt in to use weights or weighted gloves for a higher intensity workout though.

Insider tip: I suggest following the modified version first if you have just started exercising. Have fun! The music is really fun to dance to and Shaun T is very energetic.

Majestical Jewelry Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I received a fashion jewelry set from Majestical jewelries. I was excited to open the box since they sent me a jewelry piece randomly. :)

Fashionjewelry.jpg
When I opened the box, I saw a bright ruby red-colored jewelry set (necklace and earrings). I don't usually wear loud colored jewelries and prefer necklaces with just a simple pendant so to be honest, this shocked me a bit. :)

My daughters were excited to try it though so I tried it on them.

What I like about the jewelry set I received was that it came in a pretty box and there is a jewelry bag included to store the jewelries.

I tried to wear the necklace and I noticed that it was a bit heavy but it will surely catch people's attention because of the color and the design. I can't say it's a high-end jewelry (I saw a similar necklace piece on their site at $22 under their fashion jewelry tab) but is definitely perfect to wear if you're out for a dinner at a casual restaurant.

I also tried the earrings but since I've had sensitive ears when it comes to earrings since I was a child (my ears begin to itch whenever I wear earrings even when they're gold or silver plated), the moment I put it on, my ears began to itch. It's not a negative comment because as I've said, I've had earring sensitivity since I was a child. :)

Majestical Jewelries offer lots of different jewelry pieces which will definitely catch your interest. Their prices vary from a few dollars to the more expensive ones.

You can visit their website to see more of the jewelries they offer.

Crane "Curtis the Cow" Cool Mist Humidifier Review

Humidifier
Recently, my 2 year old daughter had a super bad case of epistaxis or nose bleed (you can read my post here) that we decided to buy a humidifier.

I've seen the Crane humidifier even before in-store and I love the cute designs they offer.

I browsed at Walmart.com and saw that the Crane "Curtis the Cow" Cool Mist humidifier was on sale so I went ahead and purchased it and had it delivered to our home (since it's not available for pick-up at the Walmart near us).

When it came, my daughters saw the box and thought it was a toy. Of course seeing a picture of a cute cow on the box, it did look like a toy. :)

I removed the Crane humidifier and found it light and easy to carry.

I then read the instructions and followed it.

I filled the detachable water tank with cool water then placed the cover and closed it tightly. I then placed it back on the unit.

My daughter even volunteered to put in the cow head cover. :)

My 2 year old daughter (almost 3! :)) even posed beside the humidifier. :)

And they said they wanted to take a picture with the "fog". :)

My thoughts on the Crane "Curtis the Cow" Humidifier:

First, I like that it doesn't require a filter. Based on my experience, most things that need filters becomes more expensive in the long run because of the continuous need to purchase and replace the filter. So, since it's filter-free, I can say it's very affordable.

Next, I like that it is really quiet (since it's an ultrasonic humidifier). It doesn't really make irritating noises. It makes a very light whispering sound (and I can only hear it when the room is really quiet) but for me, the sound is soothing.

I also like that the water tank can hold up to 1 gallon of water which is enough to run up to 24 hours. It can also effectively humidify rooms up to 250 sq. ft. and it has an auto shut-off sensor.

I really like the cow design since it's cute and fit for children.

The only thing I noticed is that I have to disinfect the humidifier once a week. Okay maybe I'm exaggerating since any object or thing needs to be cleaned once in a while right? :)

Here is a video of my daughters enjoying the Crane "Curtis the Cow" Cool Mist Humidifier:

So far, I am loving our new Crane Cool Mist Humidifier. I should've bought this way, way before because it really helped my 2 daughters' allergy symptoms.

We've only been using this for 5 days and I notice a big difference on my 2 daughters' allergies. They don't cough as much as before anymore and the cool mist cools down the room too. :)

You can visit the Crane Website to see more cute humidifier designs. :)

Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum Review and Giveaway 3/3 US

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
PureLuxeVitaminCSerum.jpg
Recently, I've tried a different brand of Vitamin C Serum. I became a fan of Vitamin C Serum because I've proven to myself that it works so I was glad to be able to try another brand from Pure Body Naturals.

First of all, I like how fast the Pure Body Naturals shipped the Vitamin C Serum I ordered. I placed an order Sunday night and my Vitamin C Serum arrived Tuesday. It was wrapped securely with a bubble wrap and I like that the dropper can replace the original cover of the bottle.

I wasn't able to write a review earlier because I had to try the product first before making a review. I wouldn't like it if I wrote a review on a product that I haven't tried first hand myself. :)

The Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum is very similar to the 1st brand I've tried. In fact, the smell, consistency and color of the serum is pretty much the same.

I like that I only needed a few drops (4 to 5 drops) to cover my entire face. The scent of the serum has just a tinge of a fruity/tangy smell to it. I also felt the skin of my face tighten with each application of the serum.

Just like the first brand I used, I applied the Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum every night before I sleep. My routine would be to cleanse my face, put my acne spot cream, allow the acne cream to dry, apply the Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum, allow it to absorb for about 5 to 10 seconds (yes it's that quick!), then put on my moisturizer.

I like that I didn't get any breakouts from the Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum. I also like that the dark spots on my face has lightened a little bit after 1 week of application.

I also like that it made me look younger. How can I tell? Twice, I bought a Lotto scratch card from two different liquor stores at two different times (I buy once in a while to try my luck! :)). I was paying for the scratch card I bought and both asked me why am I paying for the scratch card. The next question was "how old are you?" LOL. When I said I'm 26, they couldn't believe it. So long story short, I know that the Vitamin C Serum works because other people have noticed it too. Not just me. :)

The Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum also has added Vitamin E and Hyaluronic Acid. It has 20% Vitamin C. The serum is also derived from 98% natural and 72% Organic Ingredients. It is also made in the USA in a FDA Certified Facility.

You can learn more about the Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum on Amazon.

And now for the giveaway!! :) Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum has generously offered a giveaway for a chance to win a bottle of Pure Body Naturals Vitamin C Serum! This is valued at $25.95 at the moment! Yay! :)
