Instanatural 100% Pure Organic Moroccan Argan Oil Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I've used Argan Oil before and all the while, I thought it's only used for the hair. I was surprised when I learned that it can be used not only on the hair but on almost every part of the body. Of course I got excited when I was sent an InstaNatural 100% Pure Organic Moroccan Argan Oil to try. :)

I learned that I can use it on my hair as a leave-in conditioner, frizz remover, moisturizer, lip exfoliator and softener, hair/scalp treatment, face mask and for nail care.

The InstaNatural 100% Pure Organic Moroccan Argan Oil came in a 4 oz. dark blue bottle. The bottle is bigger than other bottled serums/oils I've tried in the past which is nice. I also like the included dropper better compared to pumps or the squirt/pour bottles because I can control the amount of Argan Oil I want to dispense. It also has a very subtle nutty/green natural scent. The scent only stayed for a couple of minutes after I applied the Argan Oil. :)

The first thing I did when I received my InstaNatural Argan Oil was to put it on my hair. I've learned from the past to follow directions on beauty products. The first time I used Argan Oil years ago, I didn't quite believe what I read in the directions to put just a small amount on the hair. I took it to my own hands and pumped about 3 pumps of the oil to my hands and put it on my hair. After that, VOILA! I look like I didn't wash my hair for years. LOL. :) So believe me when I say the saying that "A Little Goes A Long Way" when using Argan Oil. :)

This time, I followed the directions properly and dispensed only 2 drops of the Argan Oil on my palms and massaged it into my hair. My hair looked shiny and a bit tamed than usual but not oily. :)

I was hesitant to try it on my face as a moisturizer because I already have oily skin to begin with and since this is oil-based, I felt like it would make my face look more oilier. I also tend to have a break-out and I was afraid this would clog my pores because as I've mentioned, it's oil-based. For the sake of trying it out, I tried it once in the morning after my usual morning routine. I only dispensed a drop of the InstaNatural Argan Oil and my skin absorbed it well. My face didn't look oily as I expected it to be. It actually felt very soft and refreshing. Plus, no break-outs here! So one happy momma here. :)

I also tried it on my elbows and knees since they are more coarse and drier than the skin on my arms and legs. It felt wonderful since my elbows and knees became softer and smoother.

Next, I tried it on my lips as a lip softener. My lips dry easily so when I tried the InstaNatural Argan Oil on my lips, they felt heavenly and smooth afterwards and it's non-greasy as well.

Lastly, I tried it on my nails. I rubbed it on my hands and was amazed that my nails and cuticles looked better as soon as I rubbed the Argan Oil in.

The InstaNatural 100% Pure Organic Moroccan Argan Oil exceeded my expectations. I didn't believe it would suit my skin and face as well but it did. I can't believe how many different purposes it has and how effective they are. I believe this bottle will last a long time since I only need 1 to 2 drops per application.

You can learn more about the InstaNatural 100% Pure Organic Moroccan Argan Oil on Amazon. This is priced at $21.89 at the moment and this is a great price since a bottle will last a long time. :)

Alone Yet Not Alone Review + Giveaway 5/3 US/CAN

About Alone Yet Not Alone:

Settled in the Blue Mountains of Pennsylvania, deep within America's new frontier, the Leininger family celebrates the blessings of a beautiful homestead and bountiful harvest. That is, until tragedy strikes with the beginning of the French and Indian War and the devastating raid known as the Penn's Creek Massacre.

The lives of this simple, God-fearing family are forever altered when Barbara and Regina, two young sisters, are carried away by a band of Allegheny warriors. Driven by their faith in God and the powerful bonds of family, Barbara and Regina hole firmly to the belief that they are never alone, even in their darkest hour, and that they will be reunited again.

Rich in historical details, Alone Yet Not Alone is an inspirational, true story of a family caught in the cross fire of the French and Indian War.

About The Author:
Tracy Leininger Craven loves history and retelling real-life stories in her historical fiction books. She also loves spending her free time in the great outdoors with her husband David and their three children.

Alone Yet Not Alone
Written by: Tracy Leininger Craven
Publisher: Zonderkidz
Paperback: 148 pages

My Thoughts:
Alone Yet Not Alone is a book which is meant for children ages 8 and up. I wanted to read it to my daughters but since it's intended for children ages 8 and up, I read it first. My 2 daughters are just 3 and 5 years old and there are parts in the book which are not appropriate for their age yet so I will hold off on reading the book to them yet. :)

Alone Yet Not Alone may not be appropriate for them yet but in my case, I loved the story. Even if the book is intended for children ages 8 and up, I must say it's a nice short story for adults as well. After reading the book, I felt good and the book reminded me to never lose hope and to always have faith in God. I can't imagine going through what Barbara, Regina and the other young people went through and in spite of those trials, they kept their faith and kept on believing.

Alone Yet Not Alone is very captivating and once I started reading, I didn't stop until I finished it. I love how Tracy Leininger Craven managed to keep Alone Yet Not Alone interesting enough to make me read it in one sitting. I admit, I'm not really a fan of fictional books based on true stories but this book made me a bit teary-eyed and a bit emotional.

I can't wait to watch the film when it comes out on June 13, 2014 but I probably wouldn't bring my daughters with me since they're still young.

You can visit the official website for the movie here. You can also like their page on Facebook.

Sorting Colors? Who Says I Have to When There's Purex No Sort for Colors Laundry Detergent?! + Giveaway 5/5 US

One of the things I hate when I do the laundry is sorting the clothes to their respective colors before I wash them. I mean who doesn't? It takes time and a lot of times, there are only 2 to 3 clothes with the same color and I have to run them on a different wash cycle in fear of a color bleeding accident on our clothes. I admit, I've had a few accidents already and there's nothing more frustrating than seeing our clothes stained because of color bleeding.

My prayers were answered when Purex sent me a Purex No Sort for Colors Laundry Detergent. Imagine my excitement when I learned that I wouldn't have to sort out our colored clothes before washing them anymore. At least for most of them. :)

How exactly does Purex No Sort For Colors Laundry Detergent work? The simple diagram above shows how it works. :) Purex No Sort for Colors features a new Anti-Color Transfer Technology which traps loose dyes in the wash and does not let them settle onto other fabrics therefore, it reduces color bleeding accident. Cool huh? :)

So I went on to wash my daughters' clothes. I decided to wash an assortment of clothes with different colors ranging from pink to green to dark blue so I can put the Purex No Sort for Colors detergent to test. I was excited and a bit worried at the same time because this is the first time I mixed colored clothes intentionally. I crossed my fingers and prayed that Purex No Sort for Colors detergent will truly prevent color bleeding and dye transfer on our unsorted laundry.

I replaced the Purex detergent I usually use with the Purex No Sort for Colors detergent and added my Purex stain fighter and color booster and Purex Crystals in. The Purex No Sort for Colors come in a Fresh Scent and it smells nice but I can't skip on my Purex Crystals in.

When I removed my daughters' unsorted colored clothes, I was relieved that every piece of clothing I washed was okay. In fact, they're super fine. :) I didn't see any bleeding stains on any of their clothes and of course it smelled great because of the Purex Crystals. :)

I am very satisfied with the Purex No Sort for Colors detergent. It worked great with my daughters' unsorted colored clothes. Now I would definitely save a lot of time because I wouldn't have to sort our clothes by color anymore before I wash them.

NOTE from Purex: Purex No Sort for Colors is packed with innovation but it can't perform miracles. Here's an advice: Wash strongly colored fabrics or new pieces of clothing, especially jeans, separately at least 5 times before doing a mixed color load with Purex No Sort for Colors detergent.

You can learn more about Purex No Sort for Colors detergent on their Website. You can also follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.

OvenArt Bakeware Silicone 12-Cup Muffin Pan Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
My daughters love cupcakes and muffins and as much as they love eating them, they love to "help" make them too.

When I received the OvenArt Bakeware Silicone Muffin Pan, my daughters saw it and wanted to bake cupcakes right away.

I noticed how flexible it is and that's because it is made of silicone which is free of cheaper, plastic filler material. Who knew the more sturdy a silicone pan is, the more plastic fibres it has? So I am glad that the OvenArt Muffin Pan is flexible, to the point that it's floppy and bend-y, because I know I am getting a premium muffin pan.

I washed the muffin pan with water and soap before using it and let it dry. :) Then we're off to try it!

I placed the OvenArt Silicone Muffin Pan on a cookie tray before putting the batter to support it. Because of it's flexibility, the cookie tray supported the silicone muffin pan from accidentally folding up. :)

I didn't put oil or grease on the OvenArt Silicone Muffin Pan because of 2 things. First, I wanted to test it's non-stick capability and second, I really don't like the greasy/oily texture of the cupcakes when I grease the muffin pan before baking.

Well the OvenArt Silicone Muffin Pan did amaze me. The OvenArt Silicone Muffin Pan was cool in just a few minutes and I just "popped-out" the cupcakes from underneath and they popped out easily. My daughters even did it by themselves. Even without greasing the silicone muffin pan, it was very easy to remove the cupcakes and only a tiny little bit of cupcake residue was left on the pan.

The muffin pan was very easy to clean as well. The cupcake residue left on the pan came off easily with water and a bit of soap. I didn't even have to pre-soak the silicone muffin pan to soften the cupcake residue. :)

You can check out the OvenArt Silicone Muffin Pan on Amazon. Right now, it's only $16.95. :) Customer satisfaction is their priority and if you're not 100% satisfied, they offer a full refund on their product. :)
