Have you ever tried a solar charger? Honestly, this is the first time I tried a solar charger and I was pretty impressed by how it works.

Sunlabz offers 2 solar chargers, a 7 Watt and a 13 Watt solar charger, and I got to try their 13 Watt Solar Charger.

It's very easy to use. As long as it's sunny, which is not a problem here in Sunny SoCal, it works great. I've tried charging my smartphone, tablet and iPad and the Sunlabz' 13W Portable Solar Charger can charge them all.

This is great to bring along specially when we go pier fishing because there are no wall sockets there. As long as its sunny, we wouldn't have to worry about our devices' batteries being drained.

There is a red LED light indicator where the USB is plugged in so that I'll know the charger is getting enough solar power from the sun. As soon as I close the cell panel, the red LED light indicator turns off. The USB port is located at the back of the cells and there's also a pouch to store my gadget while charging.

I like how this is very efficient in charging our devices just by putting it under direct sunlight. It doesn't charge under home lighting though.

I like how this can be folded to a smaller, thin rectangle. It's very light so I can just bring it on the go.

To maximize the solar panel, I position it 45 degrees facing the sun. The Sunlabz Portable Solar Charger doesn't have a stand so I do have to anchor it to a wall or place something behind it to achieve the 45 degree angle.

There are 2 USB ports located at the back but it doesn't charge as fast if I put 2 devices at the same time.

Here is a video I did on how to use the Sunlabz' 13-watt solar charger:
I am impressed by Sunlabz' 13W Portable Solar Charger and I love how I can bring this on the go. Now, I don't have to worry about my device's batteries getting drained when we go pier fishing or go on a long trip.

WHAT DO YOU USE TO CHARGE YOUR DEVICES WHEN YOU'RE OUT ON A TRIP?
